Today we concluded the Margazhi event for 2021.

Thank you for coming and watching our program and there by encouraging us to keep performing and sharing our art with you all.

Guru Smt. Devi Sarath’s passion for dance especially bharathanatyam started at the very young age of 6. She received her initial learning and guidance under Guru Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi. She later joined SHIVAKALAYAM Academy of Indian performing Arts (SAIPA)– which was started by Guru Shri. Shivakumar and his wife Guru Smt. Sailaja Shivakumar.

Over the years, under the guidance of her gurus Mrs & Mr. Shivakumar, Devi Sarath has performed in Natyanjali festival (Chidambaram, Tanjore, K*mbakonam, Thirunallar, Nagapattinam) held at several temples across South India. She has been a part of SAIPA's various Dance Production including Shivaleela, Sange Muzhangu, Kathambha Malai, Koothum Paattum and Thulasi. She has also performed in Rajarajeshwaram -1000 organized by Dr. Padma Subramanyam in 2012, Mamallapuram Dance Festival, Chennayil Tiruvaiyaru, Vipanche Arts Festival and several others. She has been part of dance shows with Radhika Shurajit. She has also performed in several TV dance shows - THAKA DHIMI THA on Jaya TV ,Vasanth TV, Puthuyugam TV and Doorsharshan channels.

Devi’s interest in spreading her bharatanatyam passion has made her take dance as a career. She teaches dance to several kids with different age groups.
