Studio West is the South Sound's Premier Dance Studio located on the westside of Olympia & offers professional dance training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and tap to all ages. Studio West offers first class dance training, with a strong faculty base of 14 instructors. All of our teachers have reputable backgrounds in dance and are highly qualified to offer exceptional dance education to

all levels and abilities. Our faculty has trained and/or performed with such companies as: The San Francisco Ballet, Berklee College of Music in Boston, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, The Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Memphis, The National Ballet of Caracas, Oregon Ballet Theatre, City Ballet of San Diego, The Tulsa Ballet, Ballet Idaho, Tere Mathern Dance Company, and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell. As we guide our students during their dance exploration, it’s our goal and mission to instill a love and zeal for dance that will last a lifetime.

Auditions for our 2026–2027 Beginning Hip Hop Performance Division team are happening this Friday!

Auditions are open to all SWDA dancers currently registered for a Beginning Hip Hop class—and no pre-registration is required!

Dancers selected for EFFEX will have additional participation fees, rehearsals, and performance commitments. Parents, please plan to stay for the meeting immediately following auditions.

Our 2026 Developing Artist Performance was high-energy and A M A Z I N G! ✨

Our student choreographers brought their ideas to life, showcasing original works performed by their peers. Our studio transformed into a theater with a full house cheering them on! 🙌

Join us THIS Saturday, August 22 to see original works choreographed by our talented students. 🩷 Choreographing gives young dancers the opportunity to explore their own artistic voice, build confidence, and experience dance from a whole new perspective.
