What is a dragon to you? Do you think of scales and horns? Ideas of fear and tyranny? Do you think of joy and creativity? Fall Artswalk is approaching and the theme of our show is -you guessed it- dragons! There are so many different versions across cultures and across time and all of them capture the imagination in different ways. From the fierce fairytale villain to the kind and gentle library dragon, they are equally memorable and awe inspiring. Dragons excite something in us, and it’s this childlike sense of wonder and curiosity that we hope to tap into. Show us your dragon!

Bring a friend and roll up your sleeves! We are hosting a volunteering day for our upcoming art show, “Jailbreak”! this Thursday from 3pm-6pm. Stop in any time! We want as many hands involved as possible to bring this show to life, because magic happens where people gather to make art. Most of our time will be spent painting backdrop pieces but there will also be snacks, music, and plenty of time to hang out and connect. We’ll see you there!

This Artswalk we are hosting a multimedia art show called “Jailbreak”! which is based on the belief that if you are called to make art there is nothing in heaven or on earth that can stop you. Push past obstacles, use what’s around you, create like a child- creativity finds a way. Take the leap, art is for everyone!

If you’d like to get involved, stop by the shop this Thursday for our Community Work Day from 3pm-6pm at the shop. Bring a friend and roll up your sleeves!
