Last chance to see FIGURES IN THE DARK by Tim Myers!
Exhibit closes August 29th
Delve into the world of FIGURES IN THE DARK, and explore what emerges when light recedes and clarity gives way to pure instinct. In this body of work, the human figure (and at times familiar cultural icons) appears fragmented, obscured, and reassembled through gesture and material tension. Working with contrast, abrasion, and restrained bursts of color, the artist navigates themes of vulnerability, identity, and the ambiguity of mythology.
Figures appear caught between control and collapse, presence and disappearance, as if discovered rather than constructed. By disrupting both the body and the symbols we attach to it, the work challenges fixed narratives of power and heroism. What remains is a raw, unresolved space where meaning is felt as much as it is seen.
