I'm working to bring more resources to my classroom to help my students thrive, and I'd love your support. I'm raising funds to provide clarinet and saxophone reeds for my band students so every student has the supplies they need to be successful.

By helping cover the cost of reeds, our music budget can go toward other important needs like instrument repairs and maintenance, as well as new music for the students to learn and perform.

On Monday, the BOLD Senior High Band performed for Bird Island and Olivia Memorial Day services. We are proud to be able to offer this service to our communities! Thank you to the students who gave their time outside of school to show support for our communities.

On Saturday, March 28 BOLD Band and Choir students participated in MSHSL Subsection 12 Solo and Ensemble Contest at Benson High School. 2 Vocal Duets, 1 Mixed Choral Group (Pop Singers), 6 Vocal Solos, and 9 Instrumental Solos performed for judges who would critique and work with the students on a variety of performance factors. Students were given ratings consisting of Fair, Good, Excellent, and Superior. Of the 18 events that performed, 2 received Excellent and 16 received Superior ratings with Anya Dahlgren and Seth Lippert receiving 39/40 points and Seth receiving a Best at Site Award for his vocal solo. The students all did an amazing job! Mr. Strandberg (Band) and Mr. Kunka (Choir) are very proud of their outstanding achievements!

BOLD Band and Choir students are selling Wyhe's Choice Pastry Puffins and Butter Hearts. These are DELICIOUS puff crust pastries that come in a variety of flavors. Don't want to bake a whole pie? Throw in a few patry puffins for a quick an easy pie-like desert! Sale ends April 6. Proceeds support the 2027 Jr/Sr Band and Choir trip to Walt Disney World, annual trip to Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, and general support of the BOLD Band and Choir programs.

Mara Strandberg, Ella Schroeder, Anya Dahlgren, and Ethan Mills had the opportunity to attend the SDSU Honor Band Festival on Feb 27 and 28. They auditioned to be accepted and for placement within the bands. They did an amazing job representing the BOLD Warriors Concert Band and BOLD School! Check out their public concert. It was amazing!
