The 2026 Mississippi Moon Festival was a great event, and
we thank all who played an important role in its success... from the 32 extraordinary musicians who performed on both stages, to the patrons who purchased tickets, and especially to the volunteers who worked tirelessly prior to, during and after the festival.

MoonShroom is the official host band of the Mississippi Moon Festival, happening on June 6th. A star crossed culmination of liberated artistic expression, high energy performance & genuine songwriting is at the core of this dynamic project. Fueled by the song craft of Lily B Moonflower & Jake Keegan, the act hones their unique sound with genuine lyrics, tight vocal harmonies, and intricate instrumental conversation.

The group, hailing from Lawrence Kansas, performs captivating sets on stages far & wide. Featuring Lily B Moonflower on guitar & vocals, Jake Keegan on dobro & vocals, & Colby Allen Walter on bass & vocals. Together they create a unique sonic tapestry, building a bridge the audience can cross to feel a oneness with the musical energy radiating from the stage!

Expanding upon stylings of Americana, bluegrass, folk, and country — the group sends their sound into the stratosphere with their signature spin of “Grassadelic Twang”. MoonShroom tours heavily in the festival circuit, and at venues around the country.

✨Artist Spotlight : Jad Tariq✨
With his commanding performances and earnest songwriting,
Jad Tariq is a significant force in the contemporary blues scene.
Originally hailing from Trumbull, Connecticut,
Jad began his music career at just 12 years old,
cutting his teeth in local bars across the tri-state area.
At age 18, he moved to Memphis to immerse himself
in the rich musical heritage of the blues,
and has since become a mainstay on the scene.
Jad’s guitar style seamlessly blends feel-good swing
with the raw emotional intensity of the blues.
His vocal style is in the tradition of the blues shouters and
big-band crooners of the ‘40s and ‘50s.
