Doe Bay AIR Doe Bay Fest has turned into "Doe Bay Artist in Residency (DBAIR) – The All Summer Long Festival." This is not a ticketed event.

Our DBAIR lineup is spread over 20 weeks with the artists spending a week on the property creating, performing and relaxing. Because our grounds are closed to the general public again in 2021, only registered guests staying at Doe Bay and guests with outdoor dining reservations will be able to access the viewing areas. We will also maintain a "call in advance" guest list for our Orcas Island neigh

bors. Schedule is subject to additions and changes. Performances are largely at the discretion of the artists. Live events are most likely on the weekends and available by live streaming on Facebook.

Music arrived at Doe Bay in many forms over the past two weeks.

It began in the yoga studio, where Edlyn Clevenger and Chris Haugen shared an intimate evening of songs with a warm and attentive audience. The following day, they spent time in the Hidden Valley recording studio, laying down tracks for what may become the first recorded Artists in Residency song of the 2026 season.

A week later, music came across the water.

For Sails Up!, a new event coordinated by Kris Simonsen, six acts took turns filling the café patio with songs as the sun settled over the bay. Friends gathered, voices carried through the evening air, and a first-time event became one we already hope will return.

Perhaps most fittingly, some musicians arrived aboard two sailboats from Seattle, making music after sailing through the islands, and fulfilling a dream that was years in the making.

These first two residency gatherings captured something we love about Doe Bay: artists finding space to create, collaborate, and connect—with each other, with the place, and with the community that gathers here.

Thank you to everyone who performed, listened, recorded, sailed, and helped make these first summer residencies so memorable. We're excited to see where the season takes us next.

It's back! Join us in celebrating an unforgettable evening hosted by local legend Clint McCune. Doors open at 5:00 PM, performances begin at 6:30 PM, and everyone is invited to celebrate the return of one of Doe Bay's most beloved traditions—whether you're taking the stage or cheering from the crowd.
