It’s good to be back. The online shop is open for orders and I am working through messages and customer inquiries next. Lots of great content to share from my trip. Thank you for your patience while I dipped out for the longest period of time since k started!

I was so overwhelmed. So many insect specimens I have only seen online and read about. I spent the morning lost at the of world insects. I blew the lid off my iCloud storage. I could have spent hours more pouring over the specimens. I might even go back tomorrow.

Now that the dust has settled from holiday gifting season, I have a little news to share. First, I would like to thank each and every customer for making this year my biggest year yet. Second, ZoologicaShop will be closed February 3 through March 12 2025. So if you are eyeing gifts for Valentine’s Day, get your orders in before February 3rd. Finally, the reason I will be closed is I am planning a trip to Southeast Asia. I am heading to the source to meet the people and learn everything I can about the insect trade in person. Stay tuned!

It has been a mess but we are open. I am shipping in stock items on time. Restocks of sold out items will be in the coming weeks as I juggle the shop and cleanup and repairs to my home. We will get there. But make sure you’re supporting businesses affected by and then . Some were hit by both. Go support as many as you can.

Welp. Severe flooding in the mountains of Puerto Rico has cancelled the trip to visit family. So the shop will be open. 🤷🏻‍♀️ last minute gifters, you got lucky.

Tuesday evening will be the last chance for a pre-Mother’s Day delivery. The shops will be closed Wednesday May 8th and will reopen on Saturday May 11th. 🦋

New displays will be rolling out now that I am back in the workshop. This blue Morpho zephyritis will be going live this week along with some other new items.

Just a brief frolic to the tropics. I will be back to sending out your beautiful real butterfly gifts well before the Mother’s Day rush. I will also have a bunch of new items going live (including these butterfly and moth flower terrariums) as soon as I return on April 4th.

I know a few of you are waiting on these, but rest assured, they are today’s priority task. Both honeybee taxidermy dome designs will be in stock tomorrow. They’re coming! And they will hopefully stay in stock through the Mother’s Day gifting rush. Not promising they won’t sell out again but I will be making all effort to keep these popular little bee domes in production!

This coming Monday, the last big Etsy shop update of new pieces will happen. After that it will be periodic restocks of select items only. Shipping will be extended from the normal 1-2 day dispatch to 2-4 day dispatch during the post thanksgiving weekend madness so I can get caught up with gift wrap and shipping. I will be back to next day dispatch once caught up right to the end of the year.

The luna moth domes have landed and are live in my Etsy. Restocks will continue as I finish them through the holidays or until this brood has sold out. These beautiful moths were bred specifically for this size and they’re just beautiful.
