Florence Griswold Museum Located on a 12-acre site in the historic village of Old Lyme, the Florence Griswold Museum is known as the Home of American Impressionism.

12 acre riverfront site in Old Lyme, CT celebrating art, history, and nature - historic house, gardens, changing art exhibitions, and 1/2 mile trail around the property This page posts images of artwork from the Museum's collection, facts about Lyme Art Colony artists and life in an early 20th century boardinghouse for artists, event information, and behind-the-scenes information about the Florence Griswold Museum. In addition to the restored Florence Griswold House, where the artists of the Lyme Art Colony lived, the Museum features a gallery for changing art exhibitions, education and landscape centers, a restored artist’s studio, extensive gardens and and a half-mile nature trail. The Museum is located at 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT, exit 70 off I-95 and is open January through March Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 4pm and April through December Tuesday - Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for seniors (62+), $13 students (13+), $5 children (ages 5 to 12) and free to children 4 and under. For more information, visit the Museum’s website

Kyle’s Magical Mystery Autumn Tree Tour is just one week away! Why do leaves change color? How old is that tree? Next Sunday, Oct. 18 from 1-3pm, take walk about Gemstone Station with the Museum’s own tree expert to learn the answer to all these tree questions and how to identify types of trees. Fun and unbe-leaf-ably informative for all ages with nature games along the way. Free with Museum admission. 🍂
