MEET THE CAST!
Michael Ferris plays Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, and is delighted to be playing opposite his long-time friend, Loraine O'Donnell. Michael is from Boonville, NY and began pursuing his theatrical interests by earning a BFA in Musical Theatre at SUNY Fredonia. His first job out of college was a two-year stint as assistant director-choreographer at the Little Theatre of Jamestown, NY. Then began his itinerant life playing in summer stock and dinner theatre, on cruise ships and international tours. Around the world and back again, Michael is now the Performing Arts Manager at View and general manager of the Black Bear Players. He continues to make music (and theatre!) with the Adirondack and Old Forge Community Choruses, and is a long-time vocal instructor and coach

Meet the cast of LOVE LETTERS...
Loraine O’Donnell (Melissa Gardner) has been a professional actor, singer, designer and director for more than 30 years. She has appeared on stage in NYC (Off-Broadway & the cabaret circuit), Denver & Boulder Co., Buffalo NY (to name a few cities…) and had a career in radio & television as well (AM Buffalo, Unsolved Mysteries, The Jenny Jones Show, Off Beat Cinema).
For 8 years she was the Artistic Director of the D’Youville Kavinoky Theatre, a professional Theatre in Buffalo, NY. She was born and raised in Boonville NY, where she recently returned 2 years ago and is now the Executive Director of Constable Hall, the historic house museum in Constableville, NY, which was Poet Clement Moore’s inspiration to write the beloved poem T’was The Night Before Christmas. She is thrilled to be on the board of the Black Bear Players and to perform in Love Letters.

To make the day even more special, ticket holders will receive a glass of "bubbly" (NA on request), hand-dipped, chocolate-covered strawberries and a Valentine flower served up at a cozy cafe table for two--or more! Great for "Gal"entines day groups!

The Black Bear Players at View are proud to present:
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY adapted by Joe Landry.
Adapted from the beloved Frank Capra film, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY is performed in front of a Live audience, like the radio shows of the 1940’s, in the fictional New York City radio studio WBFR in Manhattan, on Christmas Eve, 1946.
Actors of all ages play many different roles as the classic story unfolds in front of studio microphones and a Foley sound effects table that will transport the audience into the world of the story.
Performances will take place in Gould Hall at View Arts Center, 3273 State Route 28, Old Forge, NY 13420 on Friday, December 6th at 7:30pm and Saturday December 7th at 2:30pm.

Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 3rd from 5pm-8pm and Sunday, September 8th at 6:30pm at View Arts Center. Audition sides (portions of the script) will be available at auditions.
