Still reminiscing about our AWESOME theatre rally from last week! If you missed it, no worries! There will always be a place for you in the MNU Theatre family. Happy Scripture Sunday!!

Today is one of those days where it’s easy to let our plans, hopes, and expectations get tangled up with our emotions. Cast lists come out today. And with them come excitement, anticipation, nerves, disappointment, comparison, and maybe even the quiet fear of wondering, “What if I don’t get what I hoped for?”

We can make our plans. We can dream about the role we want, the show we want to be part of, the opportunities we hope will come our way. We can audition, prepare, work hard, and give everything we have. But ultimately, the Lord determines our steps.

That doesn’t mean every cast list will look exactly the way we wanted it to. Sometimes God’s direction feels like a yes, sometimes a not yet, and sometimes a why on earth did You take me there? But a cast list is not a declaration of your worth, your talent, or your future. A role is something you play. It is not who you are.

So wherever you find yourself today, celebrate what God has given you. Be gracious when things don’t go your way. Be humble when they do. And remember that the story God is writing for you is so much bigger than one semester, one production, or one role.

Make your plans. Dream big. Audition bravely. Work hard. And then trust the One who knows which steps are actually yours to take.

Happy Happy Sunday!! Deuteronomy 6:5 reminds us that loving God was never meant to be a part-time or compartmentalized thing. We are called to love Him with all our heart, all our soul, and all our strength. That means bringing Him our desires and emotions, our identity and dreams, our gifts and abilities, even the messy and unfinished parts of ourselves. God isn’t asking for only the pieces of us that are easy to give. He wants the whole picture, every color and every facet, and He can take those seemingly scattered pieces and weave them into something beautiful for His glory. Don’t just give God your Sunday. Give Him your whole self!
