Forest Therapy Meditation ❤️ Shannon Gorres
I am a certified forest therapy guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). I guide nature-based experiences that connect the beauty of our inner and outer landscapes, creating opportunities for somatic healing, deeper presence, and meaningful connection.
In my counseling work, I support individuals navigating stress, anxiety, anger, and existential challenges as they cultivate a greater sense of worth, fulfillment, and belonging. My approach integrates embodied spiritual practices, guided meditation and imagery, nervous system education, and trauma-healing techniques to help people reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
As a mother, poet, and q***r person, I am committed to embracing a hurting world while helping mend the ruptures that keep us from experiencing connection, wholeness, and divine love. Through my work, I invite others into deeper grounding, healing, and a renewed sense of belonging.
This is my 4th year teaching at Free State Yoga Festival, I will be guiding Forest Therapy: Interbeing for Inner Rootedness - This powerful medicine begins with a 20 minute guided meditation that shifts our state of consciousness from overactive to calm presence. The following invitations help us explore interbeing (interconnection and shared oneness of life). They are slow and sensory, and there is no right or wrong. We receive healing insights about our existence through mindfulness and bodyfulness. Grow your inner roots.
