We got ANNIE. 🌞🎶

Thanks to the incredible support of our Starlight families and community, we've already welcomed 13 young performers into our summer production of Annie! ❤

After reviewing enrollment and timelines, we've made the decision to focus all of our energy on creating the strongest possible experience for our students by moving forward with Annie and postponing Matilda Jr. at this time.

Now we're looking to build an even bigger cast of:
☀️ Orphans
🎶 Singers
💃 Dancers
⭐ Featured ensemble performers
🏙️ New Yorkers, servants, radio stars, and more!

Annie is the perfect show for both first-time performers and seasoned stage veterans! Ages 8 to 16 | Monday through Friday, July 6-24 - 12pm to 5pm. Performs Saturday, July 25th @ 2pm & 7pm.

Camp begins in just one month, and there are still spots available to perform in this tappy-dappy Broadway classic!

Congratulations to the cast of TOM SAWYER! 2 of the kiddos in the cast are our production class students + 4 of them are Starlight Society members! We can't wait to see this show sparkle & shine under the stars at the Harn Homestead.

🎭 UPDATE: ANNIE & MATILDA Jr. Auditions 🎭

We’re extending auditions and moving them to the FIRST DAY OF CAMP for both productions!

We’ve had several families ask for more time to register, so we wanted to make it easier for new performers to jump in and join the fun this summer.

We are still looking for more:
📚 revolting children
🧹 orphans
(*note: lovely children w/ families are acceptable, too. 😘)

Here's the deal:
✨ No experience needed
✨ Great for beginners & returning performers
✨ Everyone enrolled will be part of the production (not interested in being ONstage? Come help backstage!)

We have 1/2 of our numbers, but we need YOUR help spreading the word!

🎟️ SPECIAL DEAL:
Bring a new friend who registers for camp and BOTH families receive a $25 camp discount & concessions credit.

If your child has ever wanted to try theatre, this is a great summer to start.

We love our Starlight girls!!! They learned how to wood grain platforms (a scenic painting technique) to help prep THREE MUSKETEERS — opening next Friday through Sunday! Popcorn & Paint Party — just like we like it. 🤗🙌🏻 Way to go, ladies! 16 platforms knocked out in an hour. 🫰🏻

OPEN CALL: Adult & Youth auditions for production of TOM SAWYER! Saturday, May 16th — We are proud to be called OKC's intergenerational theater company! Storyteller Theatre truly believes that our youth actors inspire our adult actors and vice versa. Our previous summer initiatives that have been a great success include A Midsummer Night's Dream, L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and A Little Princess. Be part of a new story this Storyteller season!

We are currently seeking actors age 10 through 110! Come on out for a sun-soaked summer on the Mississippi River where Treasure, pirates, murders, and fun abound! 🌞

The ones awake before the sun on a Saturday, surviving purely on Dutch Bros iced coffee and sheer determination to get to that production class, early audition, or Sunday Starlight Society meeting.

The MVP moms ones who somehow remember:
✨ tights
✨ character shoes
✨ bobby pins
✨ water bottles
✨ scripts
✨ snacks
✨ the ONE specific beige camisole required for rehearsal

…while your child remembers absolutely nothing except the lyrics to one random line from Act 2. AND THAT'S OKAY! It's actually fantastic.

You’re the breakfast runners, the wig untanglers, the emergency sewing kit providers, the “WHO HAS EXTRA EYELINER?!” heroes.

Despite the chaos, you still show up every weekend with love, patience, and enough safety pins to hold the entire theater together.

Starlight runs on theatre, but also very heavily on our amazing stage moms.

We see you. We appreciate you. Now please go stand in the spotlight like you deserve! 👏🏻

🎭✨ ATTENTION THEATRE KIDS (and parents of dramatic living room performers 👀) ✨🎭

We’re casting for both ANNIE and MATILDA this summer, and right now the audition room is getting busy, but we can't wait to see who is waiting to step into the light!

So here’s your sign to stop overthinking it and just audition.
No perfect voice? Come audition.
Never been on stage before? Come audition.
Already performing in your bedroom mirror with a hairbrush microphone? DEFINITELY come audition.

📅 Auditions: May 30 | 9 AM–12 PM
Prepare 16–32 bars of your favorite song from Annie OR Matilda + bring a backing track. We’ll help with the rest!

💬 Parents: theatre builds confidence, friendships, creativity, and gives kids a place to connect to the world around them.
💬 Tweens & Teens: yes, there are dramatic songs, funny scenes, chaos, dancing, and probably lifelong memories. I know all of you keep bugging me about A Little Princess and doing THAT again.... well--- here you go!

After listening closely to interest (and maybe a little bit of the universe doing its thing), we’re shaking up our summer music theatre camp lineup!

Instead of We Will Rock You, we’re bringing the spotlight to TWO beloved favorites:
📕 MATILDA JR. (performs June 27-28 | ages 10 to 16)
☀️ ANNIE JR. (performs July 24-26 | ages 8 to 16)
