Founded in 1963, Lyric is the Official State Theatre of Oklahoma! For more than 50 years, Lyric has produced classic and contemporary musicals and plays featuring both nationally known Broadway stars and local favorites. Lyric produces four large-scale, fully orchestrated musicals at the Civic Center Music Hall each summer, as well as works at the Plaza Theatre during the spring, fall and winter.

Lyric’s Thelma Ga***rd Academy is a professional training ground for students ages 5-18, offering classes in all aspects of musical theatre. MEET OUR DELORIS!

KRISTINA LOVE is no stranger to SISTER ACT, and we are lucky to have the OU alum back on the Lyric Theatre Stage, starring as Deloris Van Cartier! Kristina is a singer, actress, and powerhouse performer whose career has captivated audiences across Europe, including London’s West End and Germany. Kristina is revisiting the role of Deloris… this time in English! Best known for her acclaimed portrayal of the legendary Tina Turner in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, Kristina was personally hand-selected and mentored by Tina Turner herself to star in the show's German premiere.

Beyond TINA and SISTER ACT, Kristina has also been in the German premieres of HERCULES, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, ALADDIN, ROCKY & DIRTY DANCING!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of the Lyric Theatre family’s greatest artists and dearest friends, Vince Leseney.

Over the course of his remarkable career at Lyric, Vince appeared in more than 40 productions, delivering unforgettable performances that were heartfelt, passionate, inspiring, and often hilariously funny. Audiences will remember his standout roles in The Producers, Rock of Ages, Bright Star, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, Head Over Heels, Oklahoma!, and Lyric’s A Christmas Carol, among many others.

The joy, talent, and generosity Vince shared with countless audience members and fellow artists are rarely matched in a theatrical career. He was a true giant of the stage with a heart of gold. His impact on our theatre and community will be felt for years to come.

We will deeply miss him and extend our love, peace, and heartfelt condolences to his wife, Mandy; his family; his friends; and all who knew and loved him.

The massive ANNIE backdrop, and many of the set pieces you see on stage, were completely hand painted by our incredible scenic artist, .paints . Every brushstroke helped bring this world to life, transforming blank canvas into the vibrant scenes you see in the show.
