Dustin is headed South representing SB Body Arts at the New Orleans Tattoo Arts Festival, and our stomach I mean our team can’t wait.

Three days of piercing, good jewelry, new faces, tattoos by Krystal, and a convention full of people who came there specifically to do something to awesome.

He will be piercing all weekend October 16–18, so if you’re headed to the convention, come find the SB booth, look through the jewelry, and give him something fun to do.

We’re giving a HUGE birthday S/O to our guy Julio. We might be a day late, but we’re celebrating all week so it’s koo.

Julio is one hell of a tattoo artist, and we’re proud as hell to have him at SB. The talent is obvious, the work keeps speaking for itself, and we’ve gotten to watch him put his own stamp on this shop one tattoo at a time.

Even if you don’t care about the runoff races, there are still two state questions on every Oklahoma ballot today, and they’re worth knowing what the hell they actually do before you vote.

SQ 844 is about the property-tax exemption Oklahoma gives qualifying manufacturers. Right now, the state reimburses local governments and schools for the money they lose because of that exemption. A YES vote would let the Legislature change how those reimbursements are calculated. A NO vote leaves the current system alone.

SQ 846 is about voter ID. Oklahoma already requires identification to vote. This question is about putting that requirement into the state Constitution and letting the Legislature set the rules around it. A YES vote puts it in the Constitution. A NO vote leaves the current voter-ID law where it is.

We’re not going to tell you how to vote on either one.

You’ve got grown-up money now, and nobody said every responsible decision had to be boring. Pay your bills, handle your business, and then spend a little on something that makes you feel more like yourself.

A new tattoo. Better jewelry. Another piercing that was completely impulsive but somehow looks perfect anyway.

We normally keep this page focused on tattoos, piercings, jewelry and the people who walk through our doors. Today we’re using it for something happening outside our doors.

What’s being proposed in Inola could change that community forever. An aluminum smelter near people’s homes, schools, farms and livestock isn’t something the people who live there should just be expected to accept because somebody somewhere decided it was good for business.

Those families have spent years building lives there. Farmers have worked that land. Kids are growing up there. They deserve more than being told not to worry about what a project of this size could mean for their air, their land, and the future of their community.

We’re an Oklahoma business because we love being part of an Oklahoma community. And community can’t only mean caring about the people who walk through our own front door.

So the SAVE OUR FARMS. NO SMELTER. sign sitting in front of SB is there because the people of Inola are asking the rest of us to pay attention.

We are and we hope you will too!
