Dance Authority is a full-service dance studio specializing in Jazz, Lyrical, Pom, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Pointe instruction by a professional staff. Our studio is open to everyone ages 2 and older who would like to better themselves through dance. Many of our students have gone on to top colleges and universities with scholarships in dance and pom. We also have dancers who now have profession jobs

in the dance and performance industry. There are hundreds of others who, after graduation, chose other paths for their lives and it you ask them, they will tell you that their lives have been enriched from having the experience of being a part of the Dance Authority family. YAZLYN SAENZ! ✨

We are so excited to welcome Yazlyn Saenz to the Dance Authority faculty!

Yazlyn brings 21 years of dance experience to DA. After growing up in the studio and dancing four years for Moore High School, she continued her dance career with the University of Central Oklahoma Dance Team before going on to dance professionally for the Oklahoma City Thunder for three seasons — including their 2025 championship season! 🏆⚡️

For the past six years, Yazlyn has also coached Central Junior High while continuing to train and teach throughout the OKC and Tulsa dance communities.

Beyond her impressive experience, we’re excited for the energy, versatility and real-world performance experience Yazlyn will bring into the classroom.

DA dancers, help us give Yazlyn a BIG welcome! 💕✨

Join me in welcoming Christy Tate to Dance Authority Performing Arts!!

Christy came in this summer to teach ballet and we just had to have her on our team! Her energy, smile and knowledge is infectious & we knew she had to be part of our studio family.

Christy Tate is an Oklahoma-based actress, director, and educator with an extensive background across film, television, and stage. Best known for her recurring roles in Lionsgate films and multi-season lead appearances in Mike Rowe’s The Way I Heard It, Tate’s screen credits also feature prominent starring roles for the Lifetime Movie Network, including her upcoming film Trail In Error.
Raised by an opera singer and a ballet instructor, Tate earned degrees in Drama and Musical Theatre from Oral Roberts University and Northern Oklahoma College, where she was named Outstanding Musical Theatre Student. A two-time Miss Oklahoma talent winner, her career spans screen acting, directing for Light Opera Oklahoma, and serving as head of the Musical Theatre department at Southwestern Christian University.

As a Dance Authority staff member Christy is also available for private lessons.
We are thrilled to have Miss Christy for Mini Broadway (tap & ballet) Ballet 2 and Ballet 4

What is Acro?

Acro Arts is rhythmic dance movement focusing on the fluid lines, flexibility and strength in acrobatic form. You can see Acro in all styles of dance including hip hop, jazz, contemporary & more. Dance Authority’s Acro programs are a great addition to your weekly dance schedules as a recreational dancer or competition dancer.
