We are excited to be working with the City of Lauderhill, FL on a new public artwork for the frontage of their Performing Arts Center. The artwork will pay homage to many cultural and folk traditions which migrated to, and became, a part of their City; and to the land on which the city was built. We look forward to sharing more about this project, lead by Pamela Zeljak and Anton Morton, in the coming months!

In 2016 we had an opportunity to help address major artwork placements in the newly opened Oklahoma University College of Medicine at OU Health Sciences Center in Research Park. The project brought together eight artists and studios for installations over nine levels of the building and, in many ways, reframed the way our organization valued our contributions to the experience of public art. The College of Medicine plays host to countless medical students and practicing professionals; across a broad spectrum of specialties. The artwork throughout the facility provides reprieve and opportunities for self-reflection, helps create an atmosphere of tranquility and inspires creative thinking. That kind of actively engaging creative experience translates into a more positive work environment that drives innovative cognition and helps build the medical leaders of tomorrow, today. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to grow our organization’s values through contributions to this monumental project. In this image: An installation of Curves by Sculptor Morgan Robinson on the ground level concourse near the main conference rooms; one of more than twenty major placements throughout the facility.

Say hello to your architecture and build team! It always takes a village. We were pleased to be able to meet with the good folks from ADG Blatt Architecture, Oklahoma City MAPPs Program Management and W.L. McNatt Construction Group. These are the leaders that designed and are building the future Senior Health and Wellness Center III in Northeast Oklahoma City which will host our new media public art project titled, Seeds of Change; a project made possible by the City of Oklahoma City percent for our program. Stay tuned for more information to come out on that project in the coming months. Oklahoma City is an amazing place to be!

Capturing some video footage at the historic Frederick Douglass High School with Manifold Creative Team Members Keaton Towns and Anton Morton on the crane; and Nick Bayer behind the lens. The footage that was captured will be translated into animation and merged with other forms of illustrated animations to help tell some of the history of this fabled High School and their Alumni, as part of a project we are calling Seeds of Change. Additional team members include Eric Sourie, Pamela Zeljak and Drake Arnold. The project, which will include projection mapping and static elements, will eventually be hosted at Senior Health and Wellness Center III in Northeast Oklahoma City. Funding for this project was made possible by the City of Oklahoma City percent for art program.

Measure twice, cut once. It's an old adage that deserves respect and one of the many reasons that corporate collections trust Kasum Manifold installers and handlers. We work with all types of traditional and security hardware, leave no marks on wall surfaces and use precision level and measuring equipment that make precise placements move quickly and accurately; minimizing disturbances to working offices. Images: Straight line installation, on three point security hardware, of photographic series works by artist Candace Plummer Gaudiani.

Let's talk projects we LOVE. Late last year, we had an opportunity to collaborate; working with Yukon, Oklahoma Artist Carlos Barboza on the triptych mural known as Home. The epic installation that covers three sites at NE 36th and N Lincoln Blvd. was made possible thanks to the Alliance for Economic Development in Oklahoma City. We found new challenges in this project and even more ways to grow our artistic spirits. Seeing the community take ownership of the work has been the best part of the whole experience. Every time we pass by, we are pleased to see people snapping selfies and talking time to appreciate the work. If the aim of Public Art is Impact, this one hit the mark!!!

Visited the recently renovated and reopened Belle Isle Library, part of the Oklahoma City to install the form components of a sculptural lighting installation conceived in conjunction with creatives including Martin Donlin, Brett McDanel, US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo. We can't wait to see this work lit up after dark. It's been a long time coming. Special thanks to the teams at Urban Ironcraft and Legion Metals headed by Justin Hodges and The Glass Specialists (TGS) lead by Brian Bauknecht for making safe, speedy clean work of the installation. There have been so many people involved at various steps along the way and I think it's fair to say that every one of them was incredibly important to this project. It was especially cool, that in this gigantic library with chairs all over the place, these two young people could find no better place to sit then one that included a view of this newly installed piece. This project was made possible by the percent for art program.
