New traditions start tomorrow! Join us for Senior Directed One Acts at 7:00 in the East Pod, then directly following, get yourself a nice refreshment and enjoy our end of the year Theatre Arts Banquet and International Thespian Honor Society Induction.

As of right now, the district is planning on being open on Monday, April 16th. If that occurs all theatre class performances will take place starting Wednesday.

Senior Directed One Act rehearsals will take place as previously scheduled, Monday from 3:15-4:30, and Thursday 3:15-4:30. Due to losing a week of rehearsal directors may ask to extend rehearsal times by 15-30 minutes on both of those days, and possibly schedule some additional days.

Due to the closure of school and lack of time for publicity, The Completely Works of William Shakespeare Abridged presented by UCO has been cancelled for tomorrow night. If you’d still like to see the show, check out the UCO Theatre Arts page and check for other performance dates! If we are able to reschedule the event for another day, an update will be made.

Our competitive Speech and Drama season comes to an end! Freshman Hannah Hester (Right) takes 7th place in State Finals! Seniors D’Aaron Tampkins (center) and Sean Baisden (Left) takes home 5th place in State Finals!

A special shout out to our State Competitors today! Both Hannah Hester in Prose, and Sean Baisden and D’Aaron Tampkins in Humorous Duet made it to state finals! We now have a 3 hour wait until the awards show to find out the results! So updates to come!

Our students are representing well on this cold and dreary day at the State Speech and Debate tournament! They have one more round to perform tomorrow to see if they qualify for finals!

In other news, School is closed Monday, students, please make sure you are practicing your performance pieces and reaching out to any partners, two days after we return we will begin performances.

Dear parents and students,

Putnam City Schools have closed for the remainder of the week. Please make sure you take time these days to reach out to fellow classmates and families to make sure all is well and no one is in need of food or shelter. If there is anyone in need please get in contact with someone or myself so we can find the needed resources for them. As of right now all activities are still set for their previously scheduled date, including State Speech, Drama, and Debate tournament this weekend. We will still attend with our small, yet mighty, team to represent PCW for the first time at the state tournament and provide positive opportunities for our students.

As the days seem to grow longer and uncertainty may fill the air, stand strong, stand proud, stand as a Patriot.
