Nurture yourself the way you nurtured him.

Give yourself the benefit of the doubt, as you did with him.

You must become as protective of yourself as you were with him.

You protected him fiercely.

Remember?

I want you to build yourself up the way that you tirelessly tried to build him, though he tore you down.

Please, I implore you to love and care for yourself with the same tenacity you loved him with.

Your love could not pe*****te his stony heart.

Perhaps, it can pe*****te yours in a way that will heal what he wounded inside you.

Remember how you believed in him, no matter what? The way you tried to inspire him toward great things? You need to believe in yourself like that now.

Inspire yourself.

Sensitivity is a superpower. Often, we are equipped with this gifting out of necessity. When we’ve been through interpersonal trauma and dysfunction of many kinds, it creates a hypersensitivity and awareness of people.. for the purpose of being able to sense danger, with the slightest of nuances. Some will feel at home with a person who has this ability.. while others might withdraw. The difference might be in the one being read’s heart and intentions.

We all struggle with sadness. Whether it be grief, trauma, the heartbreak of broken relationships, or any number of things.. it often comes over us in waves that can quite literally overwhelm us. Remember, there will be a. reprieve. God will calm those waves.
