As we approach the end of the month, I’ve been reflecting on the opportunity to create a custom portrait of Professor Anita Hill for the launch of The Anita Hill Scholarship Fund.
Through People by People, I often think about how creative work can document history, honor lived experiences, and bring people together through conversation and reflection. “Held in Light” became part of that dialogue.
It was incredibly meaningful to share this experience in a room filled with educators, organizers, artists, advocates, and community leaders gathered in support of the hope for more accountability, equity, and empowerment.
