The Ojai Valley Museum of History and Art is housed in a 1918 National Historic Landmark church. Its 5000 foot facility has a permanent history space, the John and Ginger Wilson Memorial Gallery. James Robie, 'Silent Retreat' ceramic and painted wood

On view in 'As We See It' through October 12, this piece is a continuation of Robie's exploration of combining ceramics with painted or oxidized wood. The ceramic portion of the piece is made using an iron oxide wash over black mountain clay.
