Ojai History... The Ojai Valley is known as a spiritual place. That is due in large part to Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986). He is regarded as one of the great philosophical and spiritual figures of the 20th century. Krishnamurti traveled extensively, however maintained a home in Ojai from 1926 until his death in 1986.

Kim Lordier's 'Ventura River Glow' is on view in 'Ojai Mystique' through August 9. The work is 24x36" and pastel on archival board. The view is in the Ventura River Preserve near the Oso Road trailhead.

Lordier says,'The Ojai Valley has become a place where I return not just to paint, but to breathe. Whether hiking or painting, the landscape reminds me to slow down, to notice the fleeting shifts of color and light.'
