We have been processing the news of the upcoming demolition of St. Stephen’s church, and we are deeply saddened by the outcome. What we can say is that we pursued every opportunity available to us and will never have to wonder whether we could have done more. The project will continue on in another space, and we are currently working on figuring out our path from here. If anything, this journey has shown us how many people are interested in our idea of a community space. We are excited to continue on with our project and see what direction it takes us.

We wanted to share a few photos from inside St. Stephen’s that we took during our tour a few months ago, a small glimpse into the space that first allowed us to imagine what the Third Space Project could become. While this building will not be the home of the project, it will always hold an important place in our story and in the inspiration behind what we are creating. St. Stephen’s is where this journey began.

The moment we stepped inside, we saw so much beauty, history, and possibility in this space. Over the past six months, we spent a great deal of time thinking through what it would take to bring this vision to life. This was never just an idea or a dream, it was something we truly believed could create a meaningful space for our community.

While this building will not be the future home of the Third Space Project, it will always be an important part of our story. We are grateful for the inspiration it gave us and for the role it played in helping us imagine what could be possible.

Here's some photos from the 2026 Wearable Art Fashion Show!

This was our first time hosting WAFS and to say it was a blast would be an understatement. We are so grateful for our wonderful community here in Oil City. Thank you all for taking the time to watch us pour our heart and soul into this event. The day started with a lot of sweat and hard work, progressed to an energetic evening of creativity and fun, and ended with our crew getting dinner together and recapping the best night of the summer.

The artists / models in this year's show did an amazing job creating beautiful wearable art pieces and strutting their stuff on the runway. The judges wore fun outfits of their own and I'll be honest, they looked pretty iconic. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful creative people in our community and we can't wait for next year.

So, what's next?
We learned a lot during our first official Wearable Art Fashion Show, we've taken your feedback, the things you loved, the things you weren't a fan of, and we will be keeping everything in mind to make our next show bigger and better than the last. We are open to any extra feedback you have while the fashion show is still fresh in your mind! We'll be announcing more info regarding our plans for another WAFS in the upcoming months. For now, we're all wrapping up market season, figuring out next steps for The Third Space Project, and trying to enjoy the little bit of free time we have while the weather is still warm!

Thank you to everyone that took the time to be involved in one way or another. Without all of you, this wouldn't be possible. We can't wait to see you at our next fashion show.

The categories and winners:
Most Unexpected: El Bawa
Best Story Told: Klee Angelie
Who Owned The Runway: Chelsey and Ruby-Jane Rhoads

We promise a slew of pictures and videos over the next few days, but right now we just want to say thank you ❤️ Our first Wearable Art Fashion Show was absolutely incredible, and you all blew us out of the water with your support!

Huge thank you to our judges: Anna Scott, Cheri Pearce, Hind Karns, John Kluck, and Stevette Wano Rosen. National Transit Building/Oil City Civic Center for all of your support for the event. Baked Goods From Heaven knocked it out of the park with sweets and drinks! Christopher Doll for being our FABULOUS announcer. Christopher Osborne for helping us out with our sound system. Woods & River Coffee for sponsoring our prizes. And so many people who helped before, after, and behind-the-scenes: Ben & Marla Hickman, Kaleb Lewis, Sara Payne Thomeier, Anna Scott & Clifford’s Carpets, Tahkoxtet Opaneyunk, and Oil City Main Street Program. We couldn't have done this without you all!

To our artists and models: Rafi And Klee Studios, Kay Woods, Kayla Keltz, El Bawa, Crystal Roser, Ruby-Jane Rhoads, Celeste Bonanni, and Toby Irwin: you guys are INCREDIBLE. Absolute magic, each and every one of you. We are so thankful for all of the hard work you put into your pieces and for taking the chance to join us for our first show.

And to our community: you. showed. up. We couldn't believe how many of you came out to watch, sent us pictures and messages, spread the word, and gave so much love to us and our artists. We said this morning -- either 10 people will show up or 50, and if it tells you anything, we had to go find more chairs and then it was standing room only after that. We are consistently blown away by the support that Oil City shows us and the rest of the community, and we are grateful every single day for it. We hope you know how appreciated you are!

With that, we will wrap it up for tonight. We can't wait to share more pictures and videos over the next few days!

With love,
Chelsey, Cassie, Skylar, & Lex

It's finally the day! Meet us tonight at 6:00 in Pipeline Alley, and get ready to see some incredible wearable art! Don't let the rain keep you away -- bring an umbrella for the show outside, and if the weather doesn't cooperate, we will be cozy inside the Great Room in the National Transit Building for the after party. Our artists have worked so hard on their pieces, make sure you get out tonight to show your support -- can't wait to see you!

We are almost there -- ONE more day until our Wearable Art Fashion Show!

What do you like to do to boost your inspiration? Some of us like a theme, some of us like a request, some of us like visuals, and some of us like to rollerskate in the hallway 🛼

Sometimes you walk into a coffee shop and say "Hey, what should I build?" Then a few days later you have a Weedle...isn't life neat.

Anyone else love taking random requests for some inspiration?
