🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS 🎨

Artists of the Annex is hosting a Wearable Art Fashion Show and we need YOU! Show off your creativity on the runway in Pipeline Alley this August. We're currently accepting submissions from artists of all mediums.

The Wearable Art Fashion Show celebrates creativity, individuality, and artistic expression. Participants are invited to create and showcase original wearable art pieces inspired by this year's theme: "Express Yourself." Wearable art pieces can be anything worn on the body - think fabric creations, sculptural pieces, or even a giant canvas sandwich board. Whatever your medium, it fits - so long as you can wear it!

What do you like to do to boost your inspiration? Some of us like a theme, some of us like a request, some of us like visuals, and some of us like to rollerskate in the hallway 🛼

Sometimes you walk into a coffee shop and say "Hey, what should I build?" Then a few days later you have a Weedle...isn't life neat.

Anyone else love taking random requests for some inspiration?

Ever wondered where to find us? Now it's even easier -- just come in through the Annex door and follow the footprints!

Come and join us this Friday, May 1st from 5-9 to kick off First Friday! This is one of our favorite events and we are so happy to get them started again. We will have open studios, demos, and lots of fantastic things for sale. Don't forget to come upstairs before or after visiting all of the vendors on the street and see what we have all been up to!

🍀Happy St Patrick's Day!🍀 I was in my studio for a little while today but plan to be there longer tomorrow. Catching me in my studio is kind of like catching a leprechaun; sometimes it's hard to find me. Stop by The Melting Empourium and say hi if you're around tomorrow. Hey there! 👋
I know some of you may know me but thought I would just make a quick artist post introducing myself to those who may not.
I'm Crystal Roser, local artist and owner of The Melting Empourium in Studio E, located on the second floor of the National Transit Building annex. I'm also an artist member of Transit Art Gallery & Gifts where you can find my art on display and for sale with many other local artists.
I create lots of fluid art using different mediums such as acrylic paint, resin, and alcohol inks. I have a lot planned for 2026 and I'm looking forward to sharing all the excitement with you!

Studio Diaries | Artists of the Annex edition 📸

Friday in the Stu!

Hi, I’m Lex, one of our Transit Building artists and I’m taking over Artists of the Annex for another ✨Studio Diaries✨! Our first stop is Cassie’s studio. Here you’ll find Cassie working on some Mothman finger puppets and Skylar working on a gorgeous large acrylic painting. More often than not you’ll find these two together! Our next stop is Chelsey’s studio where you’ll find her organizing her studio and testing out some new product. Keep an eye out for what she has in store, she’s cooking up some great ideas! Next, we’re on the hunt for Linda, I heard she’s working in TAGG today. You’ll find her slinging great art at great prices in the gallery, and later she’ll be chipping away at some new art in her studio upstairs! Lastly we’ll make a stop in my studio. You’ll find me working on new art and preparing for the busy season ahead. Today I put some time into another moon painting, I hope to have it finished soon! It was a busy day in the studio today as everyone is getting ready for spring/summer markets, restocking for TAGG and The Fallen Shoppe, and shaking out those winter blues while we welcome in these warm temps (rain and all). Thanks for joining us in the studio today! We hope you enjoyed your visit.
