Tamarack Wildlife Center is open and accepting wildlife patients.
We hope everyone stayed safe during the severe storms that moved through our area yesterday. As you clean up fallen branches and storm debris, please keep an eye out for wildlife that may have been injured or displaced by the high winds and heavy rain.
Young birds, squirrels, and other wildlife can be blown from nests, fall from trees, or become separated from their parents during severe weather. Storms can also leave animals stressed, exhausted, and injured.
If you encounter an animal that appears injured, wet, orphaned, displaced from a nest, or alone, please contact your nearest licensed wildlife rehabilitation center for guidance before intervening. Prompt action can make a critical difference in an animal's recovery.
