23rd MTH Fall Classic Offers Back Row Challenge

The 23rd annual MTH Fall Classic presented by Structural Buildings & KME will take place at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN on Friday and Saturday, October 9th & 10th and will feature a Back Row Challenge for competitors in each of the nine divisions that will be in action over the post-season invitational event.
At the 2025 event, a teaser of the Back Row Challenge was offered to the Super Stock division and Dave Mass took the challenge, forfeiting his pole starting position and electing to start at the tail of the feature with the chance at chasing some additional monies. After the buzz the challenge produced, event organizers decided to expand the promotion for the upcoming 2026 event.
Minnesota Truck Headquarters and Collins Bros. Towing are the sponsors of the Back Row Challenge, which will work like this:
โข The driver that earns the pole for each of the nine features after heat races are complete on Friday night will have the opportunity to declare if they would like to start from the pole or forfeit the pole position and start last (24th) in the feature and chase an additional $2,300 if they should charge through the field and win the feature. Since the Fall Classic is entering itโs 23rd year, the decision was made to offer $2,300 to any driver that chooses to take the Back Row Challenge. In addition, if a driver does decide to take the challenge, he will earn an additional $23 per car he or she passes (to go along with the 23rd annual event) on his or her way to the front if he should not make it all the way forward and win the feature, so there will be additional guaranteed money no matter if the drivers wins or not.
Each polesitter will be asked at the pit meeting prior to the start of the Saturday portion of the event and will need to declare their intentions at that time.
The only rule that is in place for the Back Row Challenge to be in effect, is there must be a full field of 24 or more cars in the division for the challenge to be an option. Any division that does not have at minimum 24 cars starting the feature will not be eligible for the challenge, so drivers in a division that typically does not produce a minimum of 24 competitors should recruit and convince your friends and fellow racers to attend the event so you have a chance at the challenge.
