Alex Oliva is a movement artist based in Boston, where he performs circus and dance. Alex began movement arts as a gymnast before finding ballet and contemporary dance. Eventually, he discovered Cyr wheel and straps, which have allowed him to blend his background in acrobatics and dance to create unique and captivating circus acts. Alex was very excited and grateful to compete in Aerialympics Nationals in January, where he won second place in the All-Star Specialty division with a quirky straps performance. If you enjoyed his act, he hopes you'll watch his next circus film project with based on the dark carnival from Something Wicked This Way Comes!

Thank you, Janice! We loved working with you and your teammates from the Philippines. Truly a formidable bunch!

Posted • .on.air Thank you to the competition organizers for allowing us aerialists to unleash our competitive spirits even in these quarantine times. Hats off to the technical team who enabled aerialists globally to perform in an online platform. It was professionally organized with performances being on time, with live streaming, and immediate judging. Impressive!

For my award as First Place- Intermediate Aerial Silks (hurray), I have the following to thank:

Thanks to my Coach of for the beautiful choreography, the exhausting online trainings, and the muscle conditioning techniques. Thanks to my husband Alan (my “Coach A”) for being my home coach, stage designer, and Jen Stone’s tech assistant :) Thanks to my family for the support and for understanding my crazy passion for this sport/dance.

And of course ..... thank you God!!!

Hi! I'm Allie. I first found aerial silks in 2013 where I quickly fell in love with the crazy capabilities of the human body and mind. Since I started, my practice in circus has grown to include aerial silks, hand balancing, pole, juggling, dance, and acrobatics. I first performed in the Aerialympics in 2019, then again in 2020; both times I wanted a chance to perform on stage and a place to let my ideas flow freely into a routine. Currently, I perform at local events and I'm training towards my dream of having a full time career in performing. Circus brings so much joy into my life for so many reasons, from the community to the rewarding experience of working hard to bring an idea to the stage. It's the best

My name is Noah Greene, and I have trained at Momentum Aerial in Flagstaff Arizona for 3 years. I have practiced lyra, corde lisse, and pole art. I started lyra at age nine, and fell in love with it the moment I started. I have performed on multiple occasions locally in my town, and for my gym’s semester performance. I joined aerialympics because I wanted to have the opportunity to compete at a competition, and see how far I could go. I practice aerial arts weekly, and wish to expand my knowledge of different apparatuses. I would like to thank my coach and choreographer Laurel, and all of the other instructors at Momentum for helping me throughout this whole experience.
