Weve had some notifications that people are having trouble using the link previous to sign up as vilunteers so I am posting this link here and you can also check out our website for updates and information and use the link thetr to sign up.

We have several dates available still. The board is working deligently to get grants turned and fundraising done in to continue with remodeling and renovations! We need your help to man the Prairie Theatre to free up some hours for us to do those things! Big events are coming soon lets all work together to make it happen!

So grateful to the Ogallala Rotary Club for sponsoring The Land Before Time at this week's matinee! This week will be our last kids matinee for the summer! We've been so excited to host you all! Thank you for your support!

Holy crow! AK Acres of Imperial donated 100lbs of popcorn to the Prairie Theatre! Thank you so much! If any other producers would like to get on a donation list it would sure help cut expenses for our non profit theater and keep us in the movie business for year to come! Thank you! Also thank you for the volunteers who are coming tonight! Without you this show wouldn't even be possible!

Please be patient with us as we try running on a smaller crew tonight and as we figure out just how many folks it takes to run a show!

📣The time has come folks! To show up for your community! If you have thought about volunteering for the theater the time is now!📣

The Community Prairie Theatre board has been hard at work for over 2 years, fundraising, negotiation, repairing, remodeling, painting cleaning! We have a handful of select volunteers who have come up along side of us and put in the hours to bring you a beautiful movie theater with block buster movies!

🙋‍♀️This weekend we are 2 volunteers short 😰 if we are unable to obtain 2 more volunteers for Saturday we will not be able to show Spiderman. There is no real skills required, we will welcome youth 👪from the Community and volunteers of all ages🧓 and abilities 👩‍🦽

As we have said from the very beginning our vision for the theater is a volunteer run space for the arts for the community run by the community!

This Thursday’s matinee showing of King of Kings has free admission thanks to the generosity of New Hope Church.

We are thankful for their partnership to bring this story to families in our community.

In the animated film The King of Kings (released by Angel Studios on April 11, 2025), author Charles Dickens tells his young son Walter a bedtime story about Jesus Christ, transforming an imaginative father-son bond into an epic journey through the New Testament.

Doors open at 1:00, and we can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces!

One final round of applause is due for Big Red Liquors at Ogallala for today’s sponsorship of 100 matinee tickets. 👏🏻

Toy Story sold out fast. If you weren’t able to see the show, we are so sorry. But we are honored you tried to spend your afternoon with us!

We will be back next week with a new matinee on Thursday at 1:30. And of course, this weekend we have SpiderMan.

We will continue to show Toy Story 5 through Thursday this week. Admission for Toy Story 5 on Thursday will be $2.50 and we will have a kids combo available for $5 that includes a small popcorn, drink and Laffy Taffy. We are happy to announce we currently are serving Tummy Yummies as non soda option for the kiddos!

We will be showing Spider Man A Brand New Day on Friday and Saturday at 7pm! Spider Man is rated PG13 for sequences of action/violence and some language.

At this time we are not doing ticket pre orders or online ticketing, however we will have this movie for 3 weeks so everyone should have an opportunity to see it 😀 Doors open at 630!

If you have signed up to volunteer we will be contacting you in the next few weeks as we get our volunteer list organized! If you know you are able to volunteer the next couple of weekends or Thursdays please reach out on messenger through our Facebook and we will happily get you going! Remember! Prairie Theatre is a community volunteer run theater so without you we cant make it happen! Thank you for your support!
