Aubrey Wollett is a Nashville Singer-Songwriter originally from the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. Her smooth soulful voice, acoustic guitar playing, and relatable lyrics will have you listening on repeat. The Florida native originally worked on the business side of the industry for one​ of the top songwriters, Dallas Davidson,​ who has written hits for Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, among many others. ​While learning from some of the best in the industry, Aubrey earned a Music Business degree at Belmont University while pursuing her own music career.

Wollett has since been touring all over the U.S. and has opened up for Country Artists such as Tanya Tucker, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, Wynonna Judd, LoCash, Carly Pearce, and opened for Jay Leno on his comedy tour in 2018. Wollett’s single “Saltwater Gypsy” was premiered on CMT won 2019 Music Video of the year for the International Singer Songwriter Association Awards. Wollett’s latest EP has a two hit singles “Beach Vibes” and “Better on a Beach” which has won another ISSA Award, nominated for Trop Rock’s Female Artist of the Year and On the Horizon and has had multiple songs hit #1 on the Trop Rock charts. (A genre very popular to the Parrot head clubs and Jimmy Buffet fans.)

Wollett adds a refreshing beach vibe to this country music era with a captivating sound and catchy songs. Her new EP “Honest” which is currently being released showcases another side of the songwriter outside of her beach vibe. Stay tuned for the full EP to release Spring of 2022. To know me, is to know that I'm always searching for new artists and new music to add to my already amazing library of music!! We're not exactly sure how it was that we even got connected but I feel lucky that we did! Give him a listen! You can find him (and his bands) in all the familiar places! FaceBook, Instagram, Spotify, iTunes... etc.! Christian Price - he has both a Country side to his music and a Alt Rock band under the name of Mental Friction.

Right Place, Right Time, the title of John's McDonald CD is so right for the re-boot of the balance of The Yard's 2020 schedule.

We are committed to following all the protocol for our friends well-being at The Yard. Temperature checks for all guests, physically distancing, face coverings unless eating or drinking. Three hand washing stations with hand sanitizer provided. We are following all Florida phase 1 and 2 directives, exactly as the Disney Worlds theme parks.

The Yard is large enough for all to enjoy the music safely. The band will have a dedicated safe area to play, and our guests in a safe area to listen or dance. There is a risk involved in everything, all we can do is to minimize it. Even staying home has risks. (Mark broke his arm from falling at home.)

With school starting soon, we will be collecting school supplies along with Lysol disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer for our parrothead friend, Michelle Smith. She is a school teacher at an elementary school in Ruskin. Besides her class receiving the supplies, she will also distribute to other teachers at the school. Our teachers can always use our help, especially during these times.

We will be having a mask contest ( best of show) with the usual fabulous prize. And bring your Mangos for John and the band to sign.

Come out Saturday, July 25th at 7:00 to listen/dance to your new favorite band. If you have already RSVP, we look forward to seeing you. If not, please let us know if you are coming. We must not exceed our reduced capacity. Together we flattened the curve, now lets flatten our fears! Friends need each other now more than ever.

The Yard will be restarting our 2020 schedule on July 25th, Saturday at 7:00. We will be following all of phase 2 rules, and any additional ones that we don't know yet. We have reconfigured the seating for "social distancing". We have added a dedicated hand washing station. All seating will be under the Yardome and outdoors, with 50 % reduction in capacity. Please do not come if you have been tested positive or have any health conditions that could be fatal.

Bring what you wish to drink, and to eat for yourself. The music will be provided by John McDonald and the Mango Men ( and a Woman ever now and then ) . A balladeer following in the footsteps of the great masters of the trade, who never disappoints. Don't miss this one, we never know what the future holds. PLEASE RSVP, as we must adhere to our capacity limits

There is $20.00 per person cash donation to the band. Please bring your own lawn chair. Some seating will be available. Gate opens at 5;00 pm.

We are excited to welcome John McDonald & the Mango Men to TheYard Tampa as we re-open (with a few restrictions) on Saturday, July, 25th from 7-10:00 pm!

After a five month Covid-19 suspension, John and his long-time band mates, drummer/composer Kevin Kornicki and guitar virtuoso Dale Cinski, will re-open Tampa's Home of Trop Rock, throwing a fun party.

John and his collaborator Rick Beresford, award winning songwriter with number one hits like George Jones’ If the Drinkin’ Don’t Kill Me (Her Memory Will), have written an amazing batch of new songs.

This House Concert at The Yard will be their first opportunity on the Gulf Coast to showcase many of these new songs for a live audience: Rum & Reggae, Rooftop Island, Just Chime In, Islandology, Countdown to Sun Down, Just Enough Madness, Ukulele Luau Dreams, Code Rum, She Just Came Here for the Bongos, Island Bliss and Trop Rock Queen.

Brevard Live Magazine wrote a glowing review of John’s previous CD Right Place, Right Time, proclaiming ‘John McDonald has the gift…a premier songwriter.’

Another music journalist in the Mid-Atlantic described John as a ‘Trop Rock innovator.’ Now that he has absorbed the climate of Florida for a couple of years, we anticipate friends and lovers of Trop Rock will be pleased by the quality of his new music and how freshly he captures the spirit of tropical life. The full-length CD will be released later this year.
