Ocracoke Fig Festival

It's almost July! And that means it's almost time to get your FIG DINNER tickets!
This year's Fig Dinner will take place Thursday, August 6th, 6:30-8:30 PM at the Berkley Barn. Our guest chef, Jamie Davis, of The Hackney restaurant in Washington, NC will provide a dish to accompany all the other savory and sweet figgy offerings, made by local chefs and restaurants.
The only way to get your tickets is to call Fig Festival coordinator Sundae Horn at 252-921-0283 starting at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 1st. Tickets are $85 each and include beer, wine, and iced tea with dinner. We'll have live music performed by Ocracoke favorites Brooke & Nick.
This is our big fundraiser, which provides about 1/3 of the funds for the whole fig-tastic weekend!
You'll get dinner *and* the great feeling of supporting the Ocracoke Fig Festival -- a wonderful, island-based event that in turn supports local fig growers, canners, bakers, restaurants and shops.

We’re figgin’ out! Getting our first figs of the season from our giant Blue Fig Tree! The blue fig is one of Ocracoke’s traditional fig varieties and is very much like the Black Mission figs popular in California.
This one came with the house and we’ve been picking figs from it for 32 summers now!
We only found a couple of ripe ones today, lots of almost-ripe figs, and soooo many little green babies!
