Saturday Songwriter Sessions

Saturday Songwriter Sessions A place for songwriters to perform original music. If open mic is not enough, Saturday Songwriters Sessions lets you perform a full set of your songs.

If you've played a few or a lot of open mics, you know there are times when you wish you could play more than two or three songs. When you are ready, Saturday Songwriter Sessions offers that next step, a place to play a full set of your music in a comfortable, friendly environment. Every second and fourth Saturday afternoon of the month, come on down to the Hill Street Café in Oceanside, where we

gather on the patio to share our music with friends, music lovers, and other musicians while enjoying the sunshine and great food, beverages, and atmosphere. Contact me to schedule a time. Our Story
SATURDAY SONGWRITER SESSIONS·MONDAY, MAY 21, 2018·
A successful open mic is a community. A place where people share their creative urge to make music, share their new material, build their performance chops, and get to know others who can’t stop themselves from doing what they have to do: Make music! Right now, we’re building a new musical community at Rosati’s Pizza and Sports Pub in Encinitas, California. Come on down on Wednesday evenings and join the family! All levels are welcome and we will make you feel welcome and appreciated! Longer “featured artist” sets can be arranged if you want a bit more playing time, contact us if you want to schedule one. Saturday Songwriter Sessions started several years ago at the Hill Street Cafe in Oceanside, CA, offering a twice-monthly next step for musicians who wanted to get more time in front of audiences than the regular Hill Street Open Mic offered. Half-hour sets gave an opportunity to stretch out and build up a musical repertoire, and for the audience to get to know emerging or returning talent. Since the Hill Street Cafe has closed, we’re still looking for the right venue to get that next step going again, so feel free contact us if you think you know just the spot.

Despite having a coughing fit interrupt one of my songs, I had a great time Wednesday night as featured artist at the Main Street Pourhouse in Vista! Thanks to Kristen for hosting and Barel and Loyanna Margolin for backing up on cajon and vocals! Great to see all my friends there, too!
