I know some of you know Cole. Some of you might not. He is always with me. Or I’m always with him. He is my 16-year-old pup who is my best boy, my confidant, my best mate, and my best friend. We unfortunately found out today that he has an aggressive malignant cancer. It came on very quickly over the past couple of weeks. We will be starting a palladium-based cancer treatment and will consider other options as situation warrants.
He’s got high spirit still like a puppy but he has slowed down. He is trying to stay strong. So until that dreaded time comes, I will be treating him some yummy goodness (second photo).
Cole has had a good life. He has gone through a lot though. Two coyote attacks. A major dog attack by two neighboring American Bullies. Many visits to the vet with foxtails stuck up his nose when we used to live in Del Mar. 🤦🏻♂️😂
Some of you remember when I had my Golden Retriever Duncan. I lost him when he was 10. We had his friends visit him on Saturday and Sunday before we said good bye to him on Sunday afternoon. He was very happy. But he was too weak to reciprocate his love in any way.
I don’t want to do that with Cole. If you know Cole, I would love it if you are able to visit him, and perhaps you might bring him some yummy treats and make him enjoy however long he may have. He loves treats. One request. No treats with rawhide (he chokes on it) nor bone/antler (hard) based treats.
If you can do it, please private message me so we can set up a time! Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to see you soon.
