Born on December 9th, 1971 in Neptune, NJ and graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1991. When I was about 24 I moved to North Carolina briefly before moving overseas to Germany for 4 years. After my return from Germany, I started drawing and painting in 2000 as a way to speak to the masses after feeling as though words were not enough to convey my thoughts and feeli
ngs. I have previously worked in the mental health, correctional field and as a preschool teacher for 15 years with ages 5 and up. During that time I began drawing and painting a lot with the people under my care in an effort to find a way to communicate and create a positive outlet. My Style: My art revolves strongly around the expressionism style of art. Expressionism: A term used to denote the use of distortion and exaggeration for emotional effect, which first surfaced in the art literature of the early twentieth century. When applied in a stylistic sense, with reference in particular to the use of intense colour, agitated brushstrokes, and disjointed space. Rather than a single style, it was a climate that affected not only the fine arts but also dance, cinema, literature and the theatre. Expressionism is an artistic style in which the artist attempts to depict not objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse in him. About my art…Each work of art is hand painted, photographed and then some are printed for special editions of that painting. I am a self taught artist, I decided in 2001 that I wanted total control over every aspect of my art. So I began to teach myself graphic design with the help of some very cool friends I was able to learn how to create my logo, business cards posters and prints of my art. Then I went onto learn web design, which helped immensely while developing my website with the help of a very good friend. I also have a professional printer and a professional framing and matting crew that I have worked along side with since 2000. My art is created with my heart and soul and, there is a visual language conveyed in my art work that people of all ages seem to relate to. This language has made it possible for me move my art through many different venues communicating with people around the world. Creations Art LLC
