Help make Artists Paint OC a success! We're seeking volunteers to assist with artist and guest check-in, food and beverage service, bartending, parking, event setup, children's activities, exhibit support, sales, and more.

We're also looking for experienced photographers willing to donate their time and talent to capture festival events and artists in action.

The Artists Paint OC Festival returns for its 21st year August 12th-16th!

Fifty-plus artists from the Mid Atlantic region will paint throughout Ocean City for awards totaling over $10,000.

Wet Paint Sales: Saturday, August 15th from 5-7pm and Sunday, August 16th from 1-3pm at The Art League of Ocean City!

Artist Spotlight: John Eiseman

John’s work encompasses several genres: Plein Air and studio landscapes, still life interiors, and figures: using acrylics, oils, and watercolors. His paintings are surely representational and narrative at times, but the imagery is not about the pictorial. He uses the subject matter (whether it be a farmhouse, tree, cloud, or figure) as design elements to capture natural phenomena, moment in space and time and mood of event. John believes that painting is not just the celebration of vision, but rather a quest for experience. In this sense, his paintings are not a recording of facts seen. It is the process of interpreting a fleeting muse. John considers himself to be an “American Impressionist” with “caveats”.

Artist Spotlight: Siobhan Duggan

Siobhan Duggan is a Delaware-based artist whose work captures the fleeting light, color, and energy of Coastal Delaware and its surrounding landscapes. A 2021 Delaware Individual Artist Fellow and 2017 Delaware Division of the Arts grant recipient, she holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MAT from the School of Visual Arts in New York. She explores scale, abstraction, and the immediacy of mark-making to preserve the freshness of each moment in nature.

Artist Spotlight: Erica DeHart

Erica DeHart studied graphic design and illustration at Tyler School of Art before building a successful career as a freelance illustrator. For nearly three decades, she has created custom murals for homes, businesses, and universities along the East Coast while also pursuing her passion for plein air oil painting. Her recent work blends oils and acrylics, combining abstract elements with realism through layered mixed-media techniques. Through her art, DeHart seeks to celebrate the beauty of creation, bring color into the lives of others, and continue evolving as an artist.

Artist Spotlight: Ann Crostic

Ann has been selected to participate in Plein Air competitions and exhibits in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Maine, and Virginia, winning numerous awards. She was the Artist in Residence at Historic Jerusalem Mill Village for the year 2023-2024. A graduate of The Maryland Institute College of Art, Ann is a member of the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Association and the Maryland State Arts Council.

Artist Spotlight: Christine Corbitt

Throughout my personal life and my career, I have always been passionate about creating deep connections with people, the vast expanse of nature, and the creative process.

I explore a variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, gouache and my latest exciting exploration into pastels. I am very enthusiastic about the lessons and possibilities each teaches me about how to translate what I see onto the surface. I find that while I use different mediums my creative voice remains strong throughout the
process. Color plays a central role in my expression as I am constantly chasing and amplifying and even imagining colors I observe, often taking a glimmer of what I see and projecting it in a bold way.

Artist Spotlight: Patti Connell

Patti Coletta Connell is an oil painter and master gardener who creates en plein air works inspired by the natural world. Drawing on her deep understanding of plants, landscapes, and changing light, she captures the beauty and atmosphere of outdoor spaces with color and strong composition. Patti has painted throughout the United States, including National Parks and the Chesapeake Bay region, as well as internationally in Greece, Italy, and France. Her passion for travel and nature continues to inspire her work and participation in plein air events, residencies, and exhibitions.

Artist Spotlight: Taylor Collins

Taylor Collins has been a professional artist in Dover Delaware for over 40 years. She has published 30 limited edition prints, painted hundreds of paintings, served on numerous boards and non-profits in various leadership roles. She is also a published writer. For past 14 years, she has owned a gallery and studio in the historic district of Dover Delaware as well as a gift shop. Taylor learned Plein air painting from the late WPA artist Jack Lewis and much of her work is still done in Plein air.
