A Message to Our Skate-A-Way South Community
We feel it is important to address concerns and misinformation that continue to circulate regarding events involving a former individual associated with Skate-A-Way South.
In 2025, serious circumstances involving that individual came to light and resulted in his removal from any involvement with the skating rink. The ownership of Skate-A-Way South completely severed all ties with him and removed him from the business. He has no ownership, management, employment, operational involvement, or affiliation with Skate-A-Way South.
We want to be absolutely clear: Skate-A-Way South does not support, protect, assist, condone any of the presented behavior or actions that were done or have any ongoing relationship with this individual in any way.
Since that time, we have worked hard to move forward and continue building a safe, positive environment for the families and children in our community. We have new management and staff, and our entire team works hard every day to provide a fun, welcoming, and safe place for everyone who walks through our doors.
The safety of our children, families, and guests is and will always be our number one priority.
We understand that situations like this can raise serious concerns, and we believe our community deserves transparency. However, we also believe it is important to recognize that the actions of one individual should not define the many hardworking people, employees, families, and community members who make Skate-A-Way South what it is today.
If you have questions, concerns, or have heard information that you would like clarified, we respectfully invite you to come into the rink and speak with management directly. We are always willing to have an honest conversation and provide clarification whenever we can.
We appreciate the families and community members who have continued to support us and give our new team the opportunity to show what Skate-A-Way South stands for today.
Our commitment is simple: providing a safe, fun, and positive place for families and children to skate, make memories, and enjoy themselves.
