Marion Cultural Alliance Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) champions, convenes, and creates opportunities for artists & arts organizations in Ocala, Marion County.

MCA also operates Brick City Center for the Arts, a premier fine arts gallery & rental venue in the heart of downtown. Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), a nonprofit, 501(c)3 was established in 2001, with its inaugural effort, the Horse Fever public art project. MCA’s mission is to champion, convene, and create opportunities for artists and arts organizations. MCA supports activities relating to the

arts, historical and scientific museums, and specific education through grants, advocacy, fundraising, and partnerships. MCA has donated over $1.5 million to the arts and other charitable organizations in Ocala/Marion County and established a Cultural Endowment fund of $900,000. MCA has supported local arts organizations with over $450,000 through its annual Cultural Grant Awards. In 2015, MCA established the Four Friends Grant Fund as a permanent endowment, designed to generate income for small grants to support individual MCA member artists for equipment, training, and supplies. MCA launched this initiative in early January 2019. MCA also operates the Brick City Center for the Arts, a popular art gallery, located in historic downtown Ocala. CELEBRATION is almost here, and you’re invited to help bring our newest Horse Fever sculpture to life!!

On Saturday, May 30, from 11–3 at The Brick, the community can come together to paint CELEBRATION, a brand‑new public art horse designed by Maggie Weakley. Whether you’re an artist, a family, or just someone who loves Ocala’s creative spirit, this is your chance to leave a brushstroke on a piece of Horse Fever history.

🎟 Participation Levels:
🟢 Community Contributor — $12
A meaningful entry point to participate, including painting access, a souvenir sticker, and digital donor recognition.
🟡 Legacy Painter — $25
Paint your section of the sculpture and take home a collectible merch item, with your name recognized on our digital donor list.

Art, community, and good vibes are taking over the porch at Angie Lewis - State Farm Agent as we celebrate MCA's Art in Business Porch Party and Open House featuring the incredible work of Kiah Manning. Join us on Friday, May 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 416 E Ft. King St. in Ocala for an evening of local art, great company, hors d'oeuvres, and drinks. Every piece is locally made, and proceeds support Marion Cultural Alliance’s mission to uplift the arts in our community.
