We're asking you to consider supporting Habitat for Humanity of Marion County during Give4Marion.

Did you know that 28% of renter households in Marion County are cost-burdened, spending 40% or more of their income on housing?

Families shouldn’t have to choose between keeping a roof over their heads and meeting their basic needs.

We support Habitat because I have seen firsthand how a stable home can impact an entire family. A decent, affordable, and stable home is connected to better school attendance, higher graduation rates, and improved math and reading outcomes.

Most importantly, Habitat offers a hand-up, not a handout.

Future Habitat homeowners are active partners in their journey to homeownership. They invest sweat equity hours, participate in financial literacy and homeowner education, and ultimately purchase their home with an affordable mortgage. They work hard for the opportunity to build a stronger future for themselves and their families.

Travel back in time with Habitat for Humanity of Marion of County on Friday, July 24th for “250 for 250,” a ’40’s-style variety show! One night only! It will be a toe tapping, star spangled night filled with magic, singing, and swing dancing to celebrate Habitat’s 250th home build for a veteran family and the USA’s 250th Anniversary. All proceeds will go towards building more homes right here in Marion County for families in need.
