⏰School’s almost out, and summer is officially loading. Our Summer Art Camp classes for ages 5–17 begin Monday, June 1! Campers entering their creative era can experiment with groovy glow-in-the-dark art, explore clay and more. No experience needed; all skill levels are welcome. 🎨

POV: You wanted weekend plans that don’t cost anything. 🎨

Free First Saturday returns June 6 with free admission from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with family artmaking in the Artspace all day and a fascinating talk by Dr. Wayne Wood on Florida architect and sculptor Kenneth Treister at 2 p.m. in the auditorium (seating limited to 250 on a first-come basis).

Plus, Poppy’s Dogs and Barefoot Baker Sweets and Treats will be on-site throughout the day, along with CAMPUS USA Credit Union and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers.

Art, snacks and air conditioning? Say less.

Free First Saturdays are supported in party by Campus USA Credit Union .

In April, students gathered in the Art Lab for the Fruit Acrylic Painting Duo led by instructor Maritzabel Jauregui-Rodriguez. The vibes were colorful, the creativity was flowing and the fruit-themed masterpieces turned out absolutely chef’s kiss. 🤌

🎤 The next FREE First Saturday is June 6! Back by popular demand, Dr. Wayne Wood will be giving a talk on “Kenneth Treister: The Fusion of Architecture and Art” in the auditorium at 2 p.m. Treister is a Florida architect and sculptor whose designs have been described as “a cross between Frank Lloyd Wright, Antoni Gaudi, Auguste Rodin and the Mayans.” His avant-garde approach to creating sensuous environments with unconventional shapes and novel use of materials sets him apart from other designers.

This program is free to attend. Seating is limited to 250 on a first-come basis.

Come take a class with us -- your masterpiece could be displayed at the Appleton! The 8th annual “Appleton Studio Art Showcase” exhibition features work created throughout the year by adults and children enrolled in the museum’s studio arts programs.

The 2026 Appleton Studio Art Showcase is on view in the Education Rotunda through August 16. Students and their families are invited for an Open House on Saturday, May 16, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. During this time, the museum will be free for the student artists and their families to visit the museum and see their artwork on display.
