"Myster Carter was born and raised in New York City with Caribbean decent. Graduated from Monroe College with a degree in Hospitality Management but always had a love for the Arts. Moving to Orlando to continue his career in Hospitality back in 2011, Kai was able to tap into the love he has always had for performing and entertainment by working for theme parks followed by cruise ships. Back in 2019 while working as a private event sales in the Greater Orlando area Kai started to flourish more as an entertainer and reached new heights when he tried putting on his first pair of heels to compete and win in Blue LaLa’s amateur burlesque at The Venue. It was gluing on his first set of pasties and rolling those legs that stretch from stage left to stage right into a pair of fishnets Kai was able to combine his passion for performing and knowledge of hospitality management working with BlueLala."

Join Lady Mekaella DeMure, Barbarella Brown & other Danger Dames for a 21+ nonprofit solidarity show to donate all profits to the funds for currently striking guilds(WGA, IATSE, Teamsters, Hollywood Basic Crafts the DGA, the WGAE, and the WGAW &SAG-AFTRA) via the Entertainment Community Fund for mutual aid & direct action with sparkle & flair!

In response to: “The endgame is to allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses,” a studio executive was quoted as telling Deadline. Admitting their behavior was despicable, multiple sources confirmed the strategy. One insider even called it “a cruel but necessary evil.” We've decided to put on our pleasers on to kick down some fundraising doors for direct action! Let's put money into the nonprofit that directly helps our union/Cali friends we personally know effected by these execs greedy actions! This 501c3 actually helps with financial loss & housing for union members, directly in real time to prevent evictions of artists, writers, costumers & other union members in our sister industries.

She's an avid storyteller and major nerd, eventually turning her love of sci-fi and fantasy into a passion for cosplay and costume design. She discovered a new love for burlesque as a way to tell stories and scintillate the audience through clever couture. Come to Bespoke House to see literature inspired Burlesque, Drag, Fire & more as local artists donate their craft for a good cause; Putting Banned Books BACK in the reach of students.
176 books have been removed from classrooms in Duval County, Florida, after politicians did sweeping legislation, for “review.” They have been kept in storage for 10 months with little indication of when they might return to classrooms. The removed titles were part of the Essential Voices Classroom Libraries Collection, purchased by the district in 2021. This collection “features characters representing a variety of ethnicities, religious affiliations, and gender identities" which help students see themselves and process educational material easier. Our teachers & parents are struggling & we can help while having a sparkling fun evening of 18+ entertainment inspired by literature, banned books, burned books or just pure representation in the arts. All profits raised will go to buying and dispersing these books to various little libraries in the public and notifying parents & teachers where those books can be accessed for students to read on their own since being banned from schools.

To follow the past post about the continued support for BLM, BIPOC artists & equality, it's important producers put steps into place to make systemic change into the Burlesque/Vaudeville arts industry. To align with that all future shows by Danger Dames Productions will not only continue to cast and showcase BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Performers on flyers and stages, but to also install BIPOC representation in positions of power alongside our producer: from now on casting will be done with a BIPOC Consultant who will be paid livable wage per hour and a stage management for larger scale shows will be a position filled by BIPOC, who will be paid correctly as well. This will be in order to continue to provide a safe space for all cast & crew, and ensure representation for audiences to enjoy. When it is safe to produce shows again, these changes will be implemented as immediately as possible, and the promotion opportunity will be offered to the current BIPOC of our crew first to encourage promotion with in our family from Marion At Midnight series.
When it's safe to gather and do nightlife entertainment again, we want to still stand by our BIPOC creatives in our industry and prove we don't just talk the talk, we strut the walk.

From our very first productions we've always had POC, latinx, Q***r & plus size artists on our stages & flyers, and as years went on we grew our casts & crew that was including but not limiting to trans & Non-binary artists and SWs. We are inclusive and love that our audiences are too. We stand by the Black Lives Matter movement, support the current protests and will continue to book talent with representation in mind still. We look forward to when we are back into producing shows again so we can showcase that and even donate to causes like this, that we believe in. Burlesque has, at its roots, always been political & an act of revolution/rebellion. And we will continue to honour that by standing by the people and artists raising their voices against hate now.

We are going to be making some changes to this page & our website! Marion at Midnight series is just one of the past shows produced by Lady Mekaella of Danger Dames productions across FL, you may have seen smaller more intimate shows in cities like Gainesville, Hudson, Ocala, and others.
After the Sotos retired The Marion Theatre could no longer be our residency home. Since this page is where you all follow us to see where our next show, workshop and other fun info for your fav Burlesque artists are so we will be renaming and rebranding this page for Danger Dames Productions, to be more inclusive of our multiple opportunities across FL to see us onstage!
We will still book and star your Ocala faves and national guests, but now with other locations!
Thank you so much for your amazing support since the early 2010s, here is us toasting to seeing you in the audience in 2020 with our fresh vision and fresh beginnings!
