Friday, June 26,2026, 6 p.m.
Wind down your Friday evening with a cozy, hands-on herbal experience from Freya’s Herbals.
We’ll slow down together over herbal tea tasting, exploring calming aromas and learning about everyday herbs like chamomile, peppermint, lavender, lemon balm, calendula, and elderberry. Along the way, you’ll get a feel for how these plants have been traditionally used to support wellness and simple at-home care.

It’s an easygoing, feel-good evening designed to help you unwind, try something new, and connect with the plants, and with each other. You’ll leave with your own custom tea blend to take home, ready to enjoy all weekend long.

You are warmly invited to attend a very special event with Betty Ford-Smith, YES, THAT BETTY FORD-SMITH!!! on June 20, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This is such an exciting opportunity to welcome Betty to Ocala, learn a bit about the history of these extraordinary quilts, do a hands-on lesson with Betty, and have Betty sign your copy of her beautiful book, that, by the way, includes several small projects. Enjoy lively conversation while you enjoy the luncheon with other quilters and those who love fabric arts and want to preserve the timeless artform of quilting and hand-sewing for generations to come! We stitch each piece with LOVE that warms the hearts of those who receive it!

I am including the Supply List with this email. I honestly don't know how many 5” squares you need in your stack. Quite a few, in colors that go well together.
We will start a 12” square piece suitable for framing in a shadowbox or using for a small decorative pillow. You will think of hundreds of ways to use these vibrant pinecone creations. Even a quilter’s corsage!! (Directions in Betty’s book…) ***Note- Betty says that heavy button thread, carpet or upholstery thread, or outdoor thread are strong and easy to stitch.

We still have seats available, so please continue to invite and encourage your friends to come. I have also attached a 2-up of the flyer that you may distribute, and I have copies at the Art Center. This is a special Celebration of Quilting!

Please call or text me if someone you know would enjoy coming but cannot afford the cost. Limited assistance is available thanks to a charitable contribution.
And please let me know that you received this message and supply list. Thank you!

I am excited to see you here on Saturday, June 20!
Happy Stitching!
Warmly,
Barbara
