Allow me to reintroduce myselfā€¦šŸ˜Š

Iā€™m Ondine and Iā€™m an artist, a pro groom, and an equestrian. Drawing has been a part of my life forever, and so have horses so the combination of the two was natural. I attended Otterbein University as an Equine Business major while also majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in Drawing. Picking this university was easy as it had exactly the combination of majors I was looking for, which is not easy to find. I was lucky enough to work for some top riders and also have an internship with a great painter, James Young out of Granville, OH. After graduation I started working as a professional eventing groom and havenā€™t looked back since.
In my work I utilize my day to day experiences capturing the everyday minutiae of being in the barn. Working largely in oil paints, I create pieces that serve to represent the small moments to which all equestrians can relate. From giving a bath to unloading a trailer, I aim to take a snapshot of the little moments that make you glad youā€™re in the barn.

Iā€™m hoping to do some more regular updating this year and have some fun plans! šŸŽ‰

Starting to come up with a new series of paintings šŸ¤”

Itā€™s been a while since I could create something for myself instead of a commission. While I enjoy painting for other people, being able to explore new ideas and new techniques in my own work is such a motivator. It keeps things fresh and allows me to express myself a bit more.

Iā€™m excited to keep working on this new series of a couple paintings, this being the first. Name of the set coming soon šŸ¤«.
