If there is one thing my daughter and I take entirely too seriously, it’s coffee. 😂

Whenever we travel, one of our favorite things to do is find local coffee shops and order the drinks that sound a little different. And somehow, we keep running into the same problem:

Why does every banana coffee taste like banana Laffy Taffy????? Its problematic!

We already know our Banana Foster Latte is hard to beat. That one has earned its place. But my daughter asked me if I could create something that tasted less like banana flavor and more like warm banana bread fresh out of the oven.

So I started playing with it.

And THIS is why I love creating coffee.

Meet the🍌 Banana Crumble Cake Cold Brew. 🍌

I built this one around the flavors that make banana bread so good...not just the banana itself.

It has warm, nutty undertones with a subtle banana flavor, intentionally kept from being overly sweet.

Then comes a banana brown-butter cold foam, a little warm spice, and a house-made buttery crumble on top with banana chips.

The result is creamy, nutty, buttery, slightly salty, subtly sweet and actually tastes like banana, not banana candy.

I’ve been sitting here drinking the test batch while writing this and...

Yeah. We did something with this one. 🤎

Hello my sweet souls!♡♡♡

I know it’s been quiet around the Cauldron lately....

And I’ve had quite a few people reach out to ask if I’m okay, where I’ve been, and what’s happening with Cauldron & Quill. And honestly, that means more to me than I can put into words.

There have been a lot of sudden changes in my life recently, and I’ve had to shift my attention toward getting a few pieces of my life back into place. But I want to clear up one thing:

I have not given up on Cauldron & Quill. Not even a little bit.

The timeline has changed. That’s it.

This started as an idea in my head that I built from absolutely nothing. And somewhere along the way, it became something other people believed in too. I got to watch people drive across town for my coffee. I watched regulars become friends. I watched people get excited about flavors I wasn’t sure anyone else would understand until I put them in a cup.

And after visiting coffee shops everywhere I go, I keep coming back to the same feeling: there is still something missing.

I know exactly what I want Cauldron & Quill to be and I dont want to compromise for the sake of "Just Getting there".

I want the incredible coffee, obviously. But I also want the atmosphere. The culture. The music. The late nights. The conversations. The creativity. The kind of place you walk into and immediately know someone cared about every strange little detail.

I don’t want to open another coffee shop....

I want to build the coffee shop I keep looking for and can’t seem to find.

And I will.

Right now, that means being smart. It means getting my finances where they need to be, building the right foundation, and putting myself in a position to hire the right team and bring Cauldron & Quill back to Ocala the way I’ve always envisioned it.

It may take me longer than I originally thought.

That’s okay.

I would rather fight for this dream for five years than rush it in one and build something that isn’t worthy of the vision.

So if you’ve been wondering where I went, I’m still here.

Still creating. Still planning. Still obsessing over coffee. Still believing in this probably more than is reasonable.

And I’m nowhere near done.

Cauldron & Quill will have its home when the stars a line and the time is right 🖤

Hello my sweet souls!!

I wanted to apologize for being a little absent lately. Life has been incredibly busy these last few weeks as I've been training for a new job, and most of my time has been spent juggling work while continuing to build Cauldron & Quill behind the scenes.

Thank you for hanging in there with me. I know it's been quieter than usual, but I promise I haven't stopped working toward this dream. Every step I'm taking now is helping me build the kind of space I've always envisioned, and I can't wait to share it with all of you.

In the meantime, I wanted to show you my current favorite...

🍯 Honey & Hazel 🍯
A smooth cold brew topped with our house-made whipped Hazelnut and Honey Cold Foam, a sprinkle of cinnamon OF COURSE!! and finished with crunchy Honey Nut Cheerios for a little texture!

It's nostalgic, creamy, and somehow tastes like Saturday morning cartoons grew up and discovered coffee...
