Talk About It Tuesday
Cece Campbell and DGS Valentino entered their first Dressage show in March. From Cece: DGS VALENTINO (Tino) and I entered our first USDF/AQHA Dressage show this past weekend at the incredible Paso Robles Horse Park. Tino was amazing and I received great feedback from the judge on what I need to work on. The results? Tino won both the Amateur Training Level Test 1 class AND Amateur Training Level Test 2 class both days. We had great scores (69.3-70.15) and earned 8 AQHA points. I am so proud of Tino - definitely the best 3 year old!!!
When asked about her new horse DGS Valentino and their Dressage training, she could not be happier to share that “we are both learning to find balance… and impulsion from behind. My transitions have improved, along with ability to recognize straightness. We are also learning how important the bend is through the horse while riding a 20-meter circle. The neck and hip muscles on ‘Tino’ are developing beautifully and we are enjoying the journey to becoming an all-around versatile Quarter Horse. As for competing in her first Dressage shows, she said “I love to learn from my coaches and cheer my friends on. I also love the detailed test scores and comments from Dressage judges”.
