If you work around Clintonville head to Specialty Gas House tomorrow for their final regular Fundraiser Friday cookout of the year. If you can't make tomorrow, definitely make plans to join them next Friday for their 5th annual Slider Challenge featuring 2 Ohio Eggfest cook teams that you know well!

Tomorrow is our FINAL regular Fundraiser Friday cookout of the year! 🍔🔥

Come grab lunch with us from 11AM–2PM at our shop in Clintonville. We’ll be firing up the grills one more time for our regular cookout, with lunch available for a suggested $8 donation with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Veterans charity, Honor Flight Columbus, Inc.

And we wanted to go big for our final one so alongside our world famous burgers we will also be doing chopped brisket sandwiches! Available while supplies last, so come early if you want one!

🥉 2026 People's Choice – 2nd Runner Up! 🥉

Team 21, Eli's Kitchen wowed attendees with their incredible Papa Asada, a loaded grilled potato topped with perfectly cooked sirloin & picanha steak alongside 3 delicious self serve homemade salsas & sauces.

Their dish combined incredible flavor with a great presentation, earning them hardware in their first ever Ohio Eggfest!

Congratulations to the entire Eli's Kitchen team on an outstanding Ohio Eggfest! We hope to see you back next year serving up more delicious food! 👏🔥

Don't miss this one folks!

🔥 Our next, and final, Summer Chef Series grilling class is going to be a special one! We're excited to welcome Ryan Fey of The Grill Dads as our host for next Thursday!

Fey first gained national attention after winning Guy Fieri's, Guy's Big Project and has since become one of the most recognizable names in outdoor cooking. He's the co-creator of The Grill Dads, a bestselling cookbook author, frequent Today Show guest, and host of his show, Grill'n After Dark, which is now streaming on Netflix.

This class will feature a "Steak Three-Way" tasting, showcasing premium dry-aged prime Porterhouse, Bavette, and Hanger Steak from Legacy Maker Farms, each paired with its own signature sauce.

100% of ticket proceeds benefit Honor Flight Columbus, helping send veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor.

🥈2026 Major Award Reserve Grand Champion🥈

Competing at The Ohio Eggfest for the very first time, Team Big Dog, aka Team Some Pig impressed our panel of judges and earned the title of the 2026 First Runner Up in the judged category with their delicious Pineapple Pig Shots.

Their award-winning bite featured smoked sausage wrapped in bacon, filled with a delicious cream mixture and topped with grilled pineapple & pickled jalapeno. Sweet, savory, smoky, and packed with flavor, it was a standout bite and well deserved award!

🥈 2026 People's Choice First Runner Up! 🥈

Some names have become synonymous with The Ohio Eggfest, and Damian Buck & Ember Kitchen Co. is certainly one of them.

A 26-time BBQ Champion, Damian returned to The Ohio Eggfest and earned 2nd Place in peoples choice. This was his fifth time placing at The Ohio Eggfest!

🏆 2026 Major Award Champion! 🏆

Talk about making a first impression! Competing at The Ohio Eggfest for the very first time, The Hippie & The Hillbilly captured the Major Award Grand Championship with an incredible dish that impressed our panel of judges.

Their winning dish featured:
🥔 Twice Baked Potato – Yukon Gold potato filled with creamy garlic dill mashed potatoes and topped with cheddar cheese, smoked pulled pork, a Western Carolina style sauce, and fresh chives.

🍑 They also served up grilled Peaches & Cream – Premium vanilla bean ice cream served alongside grilled peaches and finished with maple syrup.

At The Ohio Eggfest, every attendee receives a vote to help decide the People's Choice Champion. This award isn't judged by a panel, it's earned one conversation, one sample, and one guest at a time.

After finishing 3rd in People's Choice last year, Team CulinaryFLO returned to the top, capturing their third Ohio Eggfest People's Choice Win! Guests couldn't get enough of their incredible Chile-glazed pork belly tacos topped with lime pickled red onions and pineapple relish, followed by a delicious homemade tres leches cake.

🔥 Another New Tradition Begins 🔥

Every great pitmaster starts somewhere. This year, we were proud to introduce the very first The Ohio Eggfest Kids Steak Cookoff and help inspire the next generation to fall in love with grilling.

Inspired by our friends at The New England Eggfest, we knew this was something we wanted to bring to Ohio. A huge thank you to Cmac Cooks for spearheading the competition and making it a reality.

The real stars of the day though, were our five young competitors.

It takes a lot of courage to step up in front of a crowd, fire up a Big Green Egg, and cook while 100+ people are watching. Every one of these kids accepted the challenge with confidence and did incredible. We can't wait to see these kids leading their very own cook teams at The Ohio Eggfest someday.

And to make it even more special... our very first Kids Steak Cookoff Champion was just 7 years old! 🏆🔥

Congratulations to all five competitors. You didn't just cook great steaks you inspired everyone who was there. We hope this is only the beginning, and we can't wait to watch this competition grow into an Ohio Eggfest tradition for years to come.

A bachelor party at The Ohio Eggfest?!

For the first time ever, we welcomed a bachelor party to The Ohio Eggfest, and hopefully they just started a new tradition! Friends traveled in from New York, Vancouver, Las Vegas, and all over the country to celebrate an unforgettable weekend together.

Here's the crazy part...only one person in the group had ever cooked on a Big Green Egg before. Team 26, Seas The Grill, stayed up cooking through the night, served up some incredible pulled pork sliders, earned our Longest Drive Award, and even cooked their way into the Top 10 in People's Choice on their very first Ohio Eggfest!

Now that's one way to celebrate a bachelor party!

Congratulations to the groom and thanks for making The Ohio Eggfest part of such a special weekend. We hope you're the first of many bachelor parties we'll see in the years to come! You all are welcome back every year!!!

🏆 Double Award Winners: Most Unique & Overnight Warrior 🏆

Some cook teams don't just compete, they help shape what The Ohio Eggfest is all about. French Creek BBQ has been doing exactly that for years.

Congratulations to Rich, Nate, and Matthew for taking home both the Most Unique award and the very first Overnight Warrior award at the 12th Annual Ohio Eggfest.

This year's menu featured a Bayou Cajun Dip loaded with alligator, yep alligator, sausage, shrimp, chicken, and smoked cream cheese, along with a beignet bread pudding topped with lemon posset.

As wild as that sounds, that's nothing new for this team. Over the years they've cooked everything from shark tacos and steamed beef cheek dumplings to an entire whole alligator, proving year after year that there are no limits to what can be accomplished on a Big Green Egg. Their creativity, passion, and willingness to try something completely different embody the spirit of The Ohio Eggfest. The Most Unique award exists because of teams like French Creek BBQ.

This year they also became the first-ever recipients of our Overnight Warrior award, recognizing the teams who spent the night at Fortress Obetz and prepared their entire cook on-site. That level of dedication deserves to be celebrated, and no team has represented it better.

Rich, Nate, egginwithdad, and everyone who has been part of the French Creek BBQ crew over the years have become a tradition at Ohio Eggfest. They're one of the teams attendees look forward to seeing every year, and they've become a big part of what has made this event so special.

P.S. They also finished 5th in the People's Choice voting. I can't help but wonder if a few more votes would've rolled in had people not been afraid of losing a hand to the alligator guarding the ballot box. 🐊

One last thing, we'd also like to congratulate Nate on his 2nd-place finish in the inaugural Ohio Eggfest Cook Team Tricycle Race... and also on officially graduating to an XL shirt.
