The Student Dance Showcase

The Fall 2019 Dance Showcase is less than two months away!

This year’s Spring show will be November 15h and 16th and the deadline for letting us know that you’d like to participate is Friday, October 25th.

The Student Dance Showcase is an entirely student-run and created dance show that is presented each semester as an alternative to the traditional Fall Forward and Spring Back shows. We welcome all styles of dance and encourage experimentation; past Showcases have included tap dance, performance art, hip-hop, jazz, improvisation, bharatanatyam, roller skating, ballet, and more. The Showcase is un-auditioned, but pieces are required to be complete (or to be works-in-progress ready to present) well in advance of the show to make the tech process as smooth as possible. The Showcase is sponsored by the lovely Dance Umbrella, goes up in Warner Main Space, complete with lights and bleachers.

Student Dance Showcase is still accepting performers for this spring's show!! Show off any skill-- improv, choreography, solos, groups, anything you're proud of!!

The performances are 4/19 and 4/20, with a dress rehearsal on 4/18 and tech on the 14th, which is the Sunday prior to show weekend.

Calling all dancers!!!! Do you or a group want to perform in Student Dance Showcase this spring??

SDS is an entirely student-choreographed and student-run dance event, with performances of any and all styles. This show is not auditioned, but your work does need to be ready to present by the first tech rehearsal. The shows this year are April 19th and 20th at 8pm. Involvement will include a tech rehearsal on the 14th and a dress rehearsal on the 18th.
