The MAD* Factory

The MAD* Factory MAD* Factory Theatre Co is a nonprofit theatre. Our mission is to empower and inspire people of all ages through *Music, Arts, and Drama.

MAD* is committed to:

* Developing excellence in the arts
* Collaborating with other community organizations

We envision a future where:

* We provide a season of performances in our permanent home where individuals come together in community to support and encourage youth throughout their lives; and

WHO: Adults and teens ages 16+

WHEN: Sunday August 23rd from 2-4pm -or- Monday August 24th from 7-9pm. No need to sign up for a slot, just come during either day to be seen.

PREPARE: Comedic monologue 1 minute or less. Shakespeare preferred but not required! If you don't have a monologue chosen, you can use the one from the play copied below.

Check out what our friends at North Pointe Ballet have coming up!

At NPB's 'United We Dance' Ballet in the Park event on September 11 will present a new piece, titled "Somewhere Only We Know" and performed by NPB Assistant Director Melaina McConnell and NPB Guest Artist Craig Sams III (Lil Craig of 2Reel).
NPB will collaborate with Rocktown Academy in Lorain to create a piece that will also be performed at FireFish Festival, where it will be performed with live student musicians. Firefish's fishburn ceremony director Jaclyn Bradley suggested the piece be performed with both a sit-down and stand-up dancer to reflect a theme of inclusivity for this year's festival, and NPB is happy to continue its partnership with Firefish Arts and continue building relationships within the community of Lorain.
