Lace up your running (or walking) shoes and join us for our 2nd Funnel Cake 5K! There is no entry or registration fee for runners or walkers, and thanks to the generosity of our carnival, Swyear Amusements, all participants will receive a voucher for a free funnel cake!

Saturday June 27th, registration begins at 8, race begins at 9.

In today’s world, who isn’t looking for a great deal? Everyone is trying to save a few dollars wherever they can. For the past several years, the Vermilion County Fair has been committed to providing budget-friendly family fun for our community. We made the decision to set our gate admission at $10. But that’s not just a gate fee. That $10 includes a ride bracelet for the entire day. At many other fairs or festivals, you might pay a $5 admission fee and an additional $25–$30 for a ride bracelet. When you look at it that way, our pricing is truly a great bargain.
You might say, “But I don’t ride the carnival rides.” And that’s okay! Your $10 admission still goes a long way. It helps us provide prizes for our hardworking livestock exhibitors, award scholarships to our Fair Queen, and make improvements to our fairgrounds—like the new lighting we added this year for a better, safer experience for everyone.
Your support of the Vermilion County Fair plays a vital role in strengthening our community. It helps drive local economic development, promotes agricultural education, and preserves the traditions that bring us all together year after year.

We are so thankful to Carle for being a platinum sponsor this year! Their sponsorship was designated for the purchase of medical equipment to support our local EMT/Medic volunteers and the safety of our fairgoers.

After a scary event last year, our main goal was to purchase an AED to have on site year round, which we were able to do! The purchase of this also came with AED training for 10 of our board members!

We were also able to get a designated first aid tent with a couple of seating options for medical care/use, a cooler to stock ice and supplies to combat heat exhaustion, new first aid kits (both field and stationary) anti-choking devices, blood stop kits, disposable gloves, CPR masks and more!

While we hope to never have any serious medical emergencies during the fair, we feel so much more prepared now!
