Uptown Oakridge First Friday Art Walk The Uptown Oakridge First Friday Art Walk was started in 2022 by Toni Wassenberg and Janet Hansen. Ms. Wassenberg was the owner of Cascade Artworks.

Since then it has grown to include 9 venues. We are constantly looking for ways to grow!

Tonight's UOFFAW was quite wonderful. Despite the chilly, drizzly weather many people came out and much fun was had. I never cease to be amazed at the amount of affection we all have for each other, the support for the artists and just the energy that happens. And young Rusty Butterfield sold a painting. He is an amazing artist at ten years of age.

The UOFFAW is a little confusing at the moment for this coming Art Walk on Friday the 4th. I do know that Sacred Spiral Gift Shop will be hosting Ash Sharpe and the 3 Legged Crane will have the amazing young artist, Rusty Butterfield and I do mean amazing. Music at the Pub will be Fred Van Vector whose " muse knows no boundaries " and whose new album, Everything new all at once , is available on all streaming services. Weldon Oliver will be at Morning Light and The Flying Dog will be open. I don't know about Bam and Fam's and the museum is a maybe at this point. I will update you as word comes to me.

Sacred Spiral Gift Shop in Oakridge is looking for a featured artist for September. You display your art for a month , I take a 30% commission on sales. This is the grid wall you will be featured on. It is 6ft tall and 8ft wide grid wall, I have lots of different fixtures to display most kinds of arts and crafts you make. Reach out with pics and description of what you makeđź’—we need artists each month as part of our Uptown Oakridge First Friday Art Walk for the rest of the year.

A few pics from last night's FFAW. I didn't get as many as I wanted. It was well attended and so much fun. So wonderful to have Kathy Ariosa back and her gorgeous new art at Morning Light. I was totally blown away by Sam's fabulous mixed media at the 3 Legged Crane. It was a magical night with my 2 favorite musicians / groups, Peter Wilde and Satori Bob. And a huge special thanks to Leisure Suit / James Cleavenger for all of the extras: music, lights, etc. and for getting a street closure. Thank you to everyone involved and everyone who comes out every month.
