Bid Ensemble “bon voyage” as they depart on their two-week concert tour to French Canada, with performances in Quebec City, Montreal, and Ottawa! At the heart of the program is Echoes of Eureka, a groundbreaking seven-movement opera by Eric Tuan that sheds light on the forced expulsion of Chinese immigrants in 1885 Eureka, California. The program also features a vibrant selection of French-Canadian repertoire and PEBCC favorites, offering a rich preview of the music they will share abroad.

While this concert is free to attend, we rely on your generous donations to continue to provide performances like this. We encourage you to donate at checkout to support all of PEBCC's programs, from KinderChoir and our public school programs, all the way to our touring and high school groups.

🌟Graduate Spotlight🌟

Mei's parents signed her up for the choir in kindergarten because despite being tone deaf, she sang with much enthusiasm. Some of her favorite choir memories include singing in the rain in Estonia, 9 years of weekly Thursday rehearsals, and campfires at Walker Creek. Mei will forever be grateful to the choir for all the lifelong friends and memories. She wants to especially thank Bob and Eric for helping shape her into the musician and person she is today. In the fall, Mei will be studying chemistry at Barnard College in New York and plans to continue singing.

Did you know that singing in a choir not only helps kids experience the joy and power of making music; it also teaches them teamwork, communication, empathy, and how to be a part of something larger than themselves? Find out how choir can positively impact your child's life with our summer day camp, Sing, Play, Create!

In partnership with the Alameda Education Foundation, we are excited to provide two sessions of local choir day camps. Campers will play song games, make crafts, learn basic musicianship skills, and rehearse 1-2 songs with our wonderful instructor to prepare for a final performance that showcases all they have learned.

Half-day Music Summer Camp
Session 1: Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26
Session 2: Monday, June 29 – Thursday, July 2

Camp Location: Earhart Elementary School, 400 Packet Landing Rd, Alameda
Singers' age: 5 to 7 Years (K-2nd grade). No prior singing experience is necessary; friends and siblings welcome.
Camp Fee: $285 (may vary with scholarships, discounts, camp length, etc.)

🌟Graduate Spotlight🌟

Scarlett has loved music since she was a toddler and finally decided to pursue this interest in fourth grade when she asked her parents to join a choir after moving to the East bay from San Francisco. Over the years, Scarlett has toured to Denmark, Germany, Costa Rica, England and Wales. Some of her favorite memories include competing in Wales, walking through the rainforests of Costa Rica, singing on Shakespeare's grave, fall Ancora retreats and being a Camp Joyful Voices CIT. In the fall, Scarlett will be attending Williams College in Massachusetts, planning to study Theater performance and pre-med.

🌟Graduate Spotlight🌟

Imogen loved music and singing from before she could talk, and followed in her Aunt Cathlin’s footsteps to join Piedmont when she was four. She loved pre-K and Kinder choir with Miss Kate. Choir continued to be her favorite activity through training and performance choirs, ending with two years in Ancora. She remembers singing Nagasaki and seeing a sloth with Ensemble in Costa Rica and spending as much time at camp in Turtle pond or the pool as she could. Imogen is attending St. Olaf College in the fall where she plans to major in psychology and continue singing.
