🌸 The Art of Connection — A VibeTribe Experience at BACC16 🌸

Commissioned for: The Alliance for Community Development
Location: BLOC15, Oakland, CA

When The Alliance for Community Development invited The VibeTribe Experience to contribute to the BACC16 Conference, we set out to create more than décor — we wanted to design a living, breathing art installation that embodied community, creativity, and connection.

Every single floral strand you see here was hand-crafted from scratch — not purchased pre-made. Our team selected each bloom individually, choosing from the most premium stems for color, shape, and texture. Over 30 suspended strands were strung by hand with clear fishing wire, creating the illusion of flowers floating in mid-air — a visual metaphor for freedom, growth, and possibility. Each strand’s layout, spacing, and composition were intentionally designed and executed by hand, with every bloom carefully tied and placed to achieve perfect balance and flow.

As guests entered the space — professionals in crisp suits, founders, and community leaders — something shifted. The moment they stepped in front of this installation, their shoulders dropped, smiles softened, and laughter filled the air. The scene transformed from a conference to a moment of play. Adults became joyful again — twirling, laughing, and posing like children frolicking through a meadow.

We used the original social media campaign for inspiration; we didn’t want it to be so literal, but still on brand for both The Alliance and VibeTribe — and the result was IMPACT, IMPACT, IMPACT.

✨ I usually don’t share photos or videos of attendees from events… but this installation was just too magical not to! 😅

We created a full floral art experience for the BACC16 Conference at BLOC15 in Oakland, transforming the space into what felt like a living meadow in midair. 🌸

Each bloom was hand-selected, placed, and tied by hand — 30 strands of floating florals suspended on invisible wire, designed to make you feel like you were walking through art.

And let me tell you — watching a room full of professionals in business suits light up like kids again? Pure joy. You could feel the energy shift the moment they stepped inside. 🌿✨

Sometimes impact looks like strategy and numbers — and sometimes it looks like laughter, awe, and adults twirling under flowers. 💫
