Repping the Bay Area, here’s the other half of AfroRooted...Karlita 🌸

Read on to learn more about her:

Karlita is an overall creative spirit and artist who reps the Bay Area and her Central American roots. She first entered dancing through her first love, breakin and has since explored other freestyle art forms such as waacking. She’s performed and taught in Nicaragua, Tanzania, Uganda and Taiwan to name a few. If she’s not competing, performing or teaching, she does movement and portrait photography to maintain her creative flow. Through her international and local work, she’s currently been focused on her personal journey with her indigenous roots and lineage. Karlita believes dance is an amazing driving force that eliminates divisions, bridges communities together and empowers folks to awaken one’s gifts to the world.
