It is with a beyond heavy heart that we share that The Great Legend and Icon, Mr. Reginald Ray-Savage, Founder and Artistic Director of Savage Jazz Dance Company, took his last breath, peacefully and surrounded by love and music, on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Mr. Savage was someone who touched every life he encountered.
His teachings, that he so generously poured into those around him, have left an indelible impact on the world that will be carried forward with deep love and gratitude, and felt for generations to come…

To all who knew and loved him: thank you for respecting and appreciating this one of a kind human, artist, mentor, and presence in this world for all he has been and brought to so many...

A celebration of life/gathering in his great honor will be planned in the future, when the time is right.
Thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult and sensitive time.

SJDC is thrilled to be able to return to in person Dance Training in the new year!
Running February 7 through March 24*, SJDC's Winter Intensive 2022 offers 2 Dance Training tracks, Beginner/Intermediate Foundation Training and Intermediate/Advanced, 4:45-6:15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
*No classe: 2/21
